Didn't seem to be a article about this on your board so thought i'd post one to get your thoughts on how you feel tonights result will effect tuesdays game? Madrid are the first team to beat Barca at the Nou Camp since 2010 and Madrid have also basically won the league now. Barca have got to be hurting now, two losses in a row ( can't remember the last time that happened to barca ), they've all but lost the la liga, just got beaten by their biggest rivals, Messi was poor as was most of the Barca team. Will this have a positive or negative impact do you think? Will Barca come out all guns blazing on tuesday and try to make up for these last two losses or will they self-destruct ? I remember a similar scenario under Riijkard, everyone was lovely for a few seasons then they had a mini bad spell and it turned into a major one. I think what they're lacking is Villa or another striker like Villa and they are missing Pique and no Pique again tuesday will be a huge loss. Hopefully it has a negative impact and you make the final . Just wanted to know your opinions on tonights result...
I think they'll be demoralised if anything, they were always going to get the better of us on Tuesday but this will have mentally drained them - Madrid have basically won the title on their own soil! I still think they'll win on Tuesday, whether it's the ref or by tearing us apart.
I think it could have the reverse effect and galvanise them, I'd much rather they came in on a high and maybe we could catch them off guard, they know now it's season over if they don't win on Tuesday and I expect them to raise their game tenfold
Who said they did? I just said, rather implied that you're kidding yourself if you think that's going to count next week.
They will want to make up for that loss to make sure they don't end up with nothing. A draw would of been great. Doesn't mean you cannot get a result though.
My guess is they have thrown this game , to prioritise, the clash next week at the Nou Camp! Whatever, we got a reasonable result today against the Gooners with a large number of "second choices" So let the battle commence!!!!!
Barca lost, Spurs lost, Newcastle won, we didn't win, didn't lose either. So what? What possible effect could any of this have on a game still almost 3 days away ???? Nothings changed since last Wed, except the team we played against Arsenal. No surprises there. Barca will be incredibly tough at their gaff, we will have to be at least as good as last week. For all those "absolutely certain " of the result, BOLLOCKS. Your best call is a 50/50 guess. No skill or brainpower required there. Might as well say one of three things will happen, a draw ,a win, or a loss. Of that you can be certain.
There's no way they'd throw a game against Madrid mate. I think the amount of games the core players are involved in is catching up with them. I'm not saying we'll beat them but we have a chance. Their last 2 games have shown they're not invincible. We may receive a back-lash but there may just be a small doubt creeping into their minds! We shall see!
We went into this not expecting much, but we've already done more than we dared hope for! The Real result wont do anything but fire them up to put things right! However, with our biggies rested for weekend, I think we'll lose out , but not get hammered! Lets home we get an even handed display from the ref!
Well its a bit different. They have basically lost the League now but will not want to end the season without one of the big trophy's. We'll see I guess.
I have to assume you're just a wum otherwise the alternative is that you're just ridiculously stupid.
