If West Ham win on Monday, one of them will pick our game, and the other will pick West Ham's. If West Ham don't win on Monday, one of them will pick Cardiff's game, and the other will pick Boro's. I'd be surprised if this didn't turn out to be the case. I've got no idea who has first dibs, not that it really matters I guess.
True, Monday is not a fully gone conclusion. I repost: I am interested to see how many people think West Ham will definitely win on Monday. Out of the 17 games West Ham have played on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday their returns are less than 1.5 points per match (one was a cup game). Their record is: Won 6 Drawn 7 Lost 4. Tue 17 Apr Bristol City v West Ham drew 1-1 Mon 9 Apr West Ham v Birmingham drew 3-3 Tue 27 Mar Peterborough v West Ham won 2-0 Tue 20 Mar West Ham v Middlesbrough drew 1-1 Wed 7 Mar West Ham v Watford drew 1-1 Tue 21 Feb Blackpool v West Ham won 4-1 Tue 14 Feb West Ham v Southampton drew 1-1 Tue 31 Jan Ipswich v West Ham lost 5-1 Mon 2 Jan West Ham v Coventry won 1-0 Mon 26 Dec Birmingham v West Ham drew 1-1 Tue 29 Nov Middlesbrough v West Ham won 2-0 Tue 1 Nov West Ham v Bristol City drew 0-0 Mon 24 Oct Brighton v West Ham won 1-0 Tue 18 Oct Southampton v West Ham lost 1-0 Tue 27 Sep West Ham v Ipswich lost 1-0 Wed 24 Aug West Ham v Aldershot lost 2-1 Tue 16 Aug Watford v West Ham won 4-0
I really don't know why we have always got bad results on tv but that is probably for a different thread!
Sods law says West Ham will win on Monday and we'll all be a bag of bits come midday Sat! We were never going to do this the easy way! COYRs!!!
It is because tv pick the hard fought close games and unfortunately we have lost some of these in recent times, whereas at the start of the season as an under dog we prevailed.
If west Ham don't win on Monday, I won't care if they broadcast the Coventry game on all stations similtaniously!
