I am quite suprised that Rudy Gestede has been given a 2 year extension on his contract, for supposedly having a great season ! Personally i hope he comes good as the powers that be must see something there to splash out on a new contract for him. However he is 23 injury prone and surely should be on top of his game, and not so much as one for the future. What are your thoughts people.
 
He needs a full pre-season training to get him properly fit and build up a resistance against his physical weaknesses. If that can be achieved then we will be better placed to make a judgement next season.

In fairness to Malky he spotted and brought through some good young players (okay Rudy is not that young) at Watford so he has a fair eye for talent.

He is clearly building for the future with the likes of Mason, Harris, Kiss, Ralls, Rudy and the other youngsters from the academy who have been given contracts.
 
Sprinkle that with some experience and TWO FU&£ing wide men and we'll be a greater force next year.
 
He deserves his extension.

Probably a back up player next season. But I think hes a handfull for a defender.
 
I think the fact that he was mentioned in the same breath as Joe was interesting. I think we all agree Joe will be very good for us. We have to wait and see with Rudy. IF we got promoted, I don't think Rudy will have much of a role to play.

He battered skrtl and agger in the cc final. I don't think they won a header against him fo 60minutes.
Problem is we're not set up to take advantage of that 'style' but as a plan B if we scrap the playoffs I reckon he could be ok.
