IF we win against QPR and Arsenal and Chelski draw then everything will seem very different and all the pundits will be reporting things differently (we would be three points behind Arsenal with a game in hand). Of course its not certain, but who thought Wigan would win at Arsenal? The trouble with the speculation is that it only seems to be going in one direction at the moment. Sure we might lose against QPR but we've a good chance of beating them too, but which way it will go is speculation depending on how much water in your glass I guess. However, it is a FACT that Arsenal and Chelski play each other and there is only a total of three points possible between the two teams... maybe even two points. They don't both get three points and whichever one doesn't will have a whole heap of added pressure from fans and pundits.

you've basically summed up what i tried to say a few posts ago, but better. in addition, there is only one good result for those two teams. - a win. every other result is points dropped, the "draw" included, where as in most other games, a draw can be a good result.

the A v C match is potential "game changer" to our entire form of late and the entire season, but only if we win!

SSAS, i agree on the sandro/livermore idea to start the game.. we're away as we all know, and it'll give the back four a little more protection, especially if there's some nerves/lack of confidence that's settled in.

I've been saying Livermore should start for the last two games, and saying that two wingers isn't the best way forward for months, so with all due respect to SSAS, it's very much my idea as well

In some games I'd definitely agree GH10, but for most, we need both Lennon and bale. Otherwise it's 2 men marking bale, because they know we have no threat down the right if Lennon isn't playing! Against tougher opposition we need both IMO, as we're too predictable and rely on bale too much.

Fair comments Roo, but to me Lennon is also fairly predictable and weakens us defensively.

Different strokes etc, for me I want to see Nelsen and Livermore in as minimum changes at Loftus Road. I actually want more, but can't hope for too much

And I think it's fair to want to see both of those 2 players. I think there will be very few fans who will disagree. I've been impressed with nelsen so far, and jake's proving to be the best youth player we've brought through in years

To be fair though Roo, he's not got a lot of competition for that title, unfortunately! <laugh>
Hopefully that'll change soon, with the likes of Caulker and Kane impressing on loan and the youth team impressing before some twat ballsed it all up.

Fair comments as usual Roo <ok>

I wish I could get excited about this game, I should be with 4th still in our hands, but I feels so despondent about the team ATM. I'll be there watching and hoping on Sat of course, whether at home or the pub, but I can't say my hopes will be backed by any genuine confidence.

Keep the faith. We'll be alright tomorrow. COYS

Heartened by Harry's comments today about how good they've looked in training (assuming it's true of course) cause we are not playing terribly, just need to be a little more ruthless. We should be able to dominate Rangers, as long as we can capitalise with goals. My worry was that they would be too down to give of their best.

Harry Redknapp has been pleased with how the players have responded to last weekend's semi-final low in training this week.

The lads were dejected after the 5-1 loss against Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.

They've had little time to reflect though with the crucial final five games of the Premier League upon us, kicking-off at QPR on Saturday.

"We all get very low but we came in on Monday morning and start again, you have to," said Harry before training on Friday.

"By the end of the week it’s history and you look forward to the next game.

"To be honest the players have looked sharp this week. Yesterday they worked fantastic. They zipped the ball about and it was a pleasure to be out there.

"We did lots of stuff on team shape but the quality of the play was top class and they look bright so hopefully we can carry that in to the weekend. We’re ready to go again."

yeah, i thought that after I'd submitted my comment!! <laugh>

This is an even bigger game now lads. despite a perfect result in the AvC game (2 points dropped for both teams), Newcastle are winning AGAIN! - Although it's nice to see a side causing a bit of a shake up (which was us not too long ago) ... i'm getting slightly worried about Newcastle's form! commentary is suggesting Ben Arfa is having another blinder. someone's gonna snap him up in the summer.

I feel pretty arrogant not taking Newcastle seriously, but it's getting pretty concerning now!
