We don't get a lot of in depth reporting of English footy over here, they think Man ure are the only English team that ever play, (exept Everton when Tim Cahill scores), and don't even acknowledge Millwall, even though I try beat it into them.
Mais, seriousement, just how many English teams are in financiall do-do? and just what does it mean that Pompey are in such a pickle? I mean, Rangers, Cripled Alice, Man ure (even with all their wealth) are all up the their ears, 'specially Rangers who lok like going to the wall (not OUR wall!). Big clubs (sorry Leeds) that have been the back-bone of English footy for so many years look like folding up their tents and buggering off. Its a frighteneing prospect to contemplate, but whats the future? Anyone? Any serious opinions or comments?

Yea, sorry. I wasn't thinking! But, hey, what is the go? Indulge me guys, what will happen if these clubs go to the wall? We have some footy teams here that are so much in debt that they do, in fact, close down, but we are only beginners and no great harm is done, but what of the English clubs, as i said, old established bastions of the league. What then?

Out of all the problems that the clubs have had (let's just say since 1960). How many clubs have actually folded, in the 1st 4 leagues?

I bet the numbers could be counted in single digits.

You would get afc rangers, they may be in a **** load of debt but as long as the fan base is there a team will go on in some form or other :D

Sweet thought, MFC, but do you really believe that the owners think of the fans, or of the bottom line. The world, even outside football, is ruled by profit, no profit, no product and to hell with who gets hurt.
