I think the impact of rooney and his 'contract negotiations' was as big as tevez at city, you dont see saf in tears too often
Also IMO the impact on the Pogba et al negotiations are down to some of that
For me goals are not the be all and end all of everything. Put a carroll or Torres in the current UTD squad and their numbers would be bigger, in terms of goals scored due to our style of play. We create a lot of chances, against blackburn valencia alone put in 15 crosses that were not met by any of our strikers, rooney wasnt even in the box. Hence the substitutions in the last couple of games
I base my lack of goals on the current rooney (not the past and not the one he will be next season etc if he improves). Basically the current rooney makes up a 5 man midfield against the top teams, due to whatever it is that is ailing him currently, he just doesnt get into the box and keep up with play. at times the likes of Evans are further ahead than him. He seems to lack the energy/pace. It may simple be him being knackered.
Hence my comment about him 'even' scoring against villa from open play. He was in the box
IMO I would put the likes of RVP, Drogba, Aguerro, Tevez and even Suarez ahead of rooney in the prem currently as better strikers. Not necesarily in terms of goals scored but overall play. Pace, strength, passing, hold up play, dribbling, skill etc
Firstly, Fergie wasn't in tears. Where did you see that? Yes, he looked gutted, but his eyes were dry. As for the Rooney situation being as bad as the Tevez one, how do you figure that? United still won the league last season, chances are, City WON'T win it this time. It's obviously had a worse affect on them.
Not sure about the Pogba situation. We got rid of that Serbian kid Ljajic who was meant to be the next big thing a couple of years back in similar circumstances, before the Rooney saga.
As for Torres/Carroll, don't be ridiculous. Torres is a spent force at the moment. He's not even a good finisher any more. Carroll is a donkey who's been found out.
Maybe Rooney is tired. How many would he score if he wasn't though?
Drogba is well past his best and rarely produces now. Tevez is a liability. Suarez doesn't score nearly enough goals for a striker. Aguero looks class, but one swallow does not a summer make. RVP will probably be back on the treatment table next season and score no more than 15 goals as is customary.
dont like jews? according to some I am one
I dont dislike CFC. Dont really buy into the 'hating' of clubs due to rivalry, just dont like the behaviour of the current CFC players and believe that fans are being ripped off
Also for someone who like sto pay attention to spelling, grammar and such surely you know the 'difference' between yids and jews?
Whatever the difference between Yids and Jews (and I think they are the same thing to most people), it's got nothing to do with spelling or grammar. Semantics maybe.
As for the whole PL demise/La Liga ascendancy business, I think people forget the following:
-3 PL semi-finalists in 3 consecutive years (07,08,09)
-PL finalists in 5 consecutive years (05,06,07,08,09)
-2 PL winners in last 8 years
-PL finalist last year.
All in the last decade. Compares favourably with LL I believe. Plus all Spain's dominance has been down to one club, not so with the PL. All these "La Liga is streets ahead comments" were being made about the PL up until the meteoric rise of Pep Guardiola's Barca 3 short years ago.
