    Sounds about right.
Shame I'm not a betting man, eh?

Given the way that Drogba approached that game, it's horrible that he came out of it with the glory.
    Shameful stuff.

Davy Crockett was noted for his racism and bigotry, which have been airbrushed from the "official" history...

Drogba's diving and rolling around was a disgrace tonight. An embarrassment to the premiership.

However, Chelsea got it right tonight and deserved to win. They did their homework and worked out how to "stop" Barcelona, and worked very well as a team. Credit where it's due.

Drogba spent more time on the floor than a novice fighter in his first fight.

Realistically the Chavs defended for their lives. However, let's not lose sight of the fact that rarely will Barca miss so many sitters in one game. I wouldn't get too excited, if i were a Chelsea fan, it's very unlikely to happen again.

Messi was quiet on this wet Wednesday evening against Chelsea...made me ask the question :

'can Messi do it on a wet Tuesday evening against Stoke?'

admitted Stoke's defence not as good as Chelsea's mind.

Well done Chelsea but I don't think that you've done enough.

and what is all this i often hear and see on these forums about supporting a team because they represent engalnd?

biggest pile of nationalist cack ive ever heard.

Like you would go abroad and see some foreign fans and then tell them you support spurs but remind them of how well United do in europe!

the truth is youd get a drink with the foreign fans and slag off all the English teams you could apart from your own.

I hope John Terry's enjoying his career, then.

Nobody should get away with it.
It needs to be removed from the game and I'm critical of anyone that does it.

Why did the ref stop the game when Drogba rolled about for the 800th time and clearly wasn't hurt?
It wasn't a head injury and he wasn't interfering with play, so why not carry on?
He was close enough to the sideline to drag himself off, if there was actually anything wrong with him.
Why change the rules and then ignore them?

Chelsea's pitch probably helped with that, Lidls. It's quite narrow.
That won't be such an issue next week, but a goal for Chelsea would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

They missed four gilt-edged chances and hit the woodwork twice. How many chances do they need to create to 'open Chelsea up often'?

Dont be baffled..you should be used to it being a Spurs fan..we rarely convert the chances we create...astonishing stat

198 passes for Chelsea compared to 782 for Barca.

And they created all that on what is a tight pitch and also they are away from home, and Barca do not win many of their away games in the knockout stages. But not getting an away goal might potentially be a killer for them. Chelsea score at the Nou Camp and Barca have to get three. As great as Messi is, he really is only one man, and the likes of Sanchez,Fabregas and Pedro are not in great goal scoring form.

Barca don't miss that many simple chances too often, either!

I'm not baffled - Lidl has been saying for weeks that we need to play 442, and is suggesting that Barca also suffered from lack of width. But Spurs (and Barca tonight) are suffering from not converting chances, not any shortage of making them. The system is working - the finishing isn't. It will only be a one match blip for Barca I expect, rather than the 10 match one we've had.

Arsenal's pitch is as wide as Barca's, some practice on Saturday I think :)
