Right, What players should we clear out end of season, i know we have added to the squad and they perhaps needed this season to "bed in" but one mans glitter is another man's gold so name and shame. Also if you know what wages they are on please provide as well as a potential transfer fee, i'll get the ball rolling:

Exibhit A) Charlie Adam: Doesnt know his own limitations, a liability who off the top of my head has indivdually cost us at least 9 points. Missed penalties, given away penalties, red cards, own goals, giving away possesion in dangerous areas of the pitch which have led to goals, yadda yadda...Dont know what wages he's on but I'm sure we could recoup the £8m ish spent.

Charlie Adam, Joe Cole (Used in a deal for Hazard??), Brad Jones (he should be playing regularly), Aqualiani, Aurelio, Dani Pacheco, Maxi & Darby

Adam - £5m - Poss. Aston Villa, Spurs, Sunderland
    Cole - £5m - Poss. PSG, Lille
Jones - £1m - Poss. Southampton, West Ham, Birmingham
Aqualaini - £10m - Poss. AC Milan, Inter, Lazio, Napoli
Aurelio - Free - Anyone in spain
    Dani Pacheco - £2m - Levante, Malaga
Maxi - £2m - Anyone in Spain, Chelsea (they seem to buy our players, especially when the player in question scores against them)
Darby - 200k - Anyone in League 1, Colchester United maybe??

    that would generate £25m

Add that to the reported £30m-£40m for the new DoF to spend that looks like quite a healthy sum

I thought Aqua played enough games and thus enforced a clause in the agreement that we would sell him for 6 mil to milan?

Aquilani is pretty much certain to move to Milan now

I hope we keep Maxi for another year, top professional just like Kuyt who can still have an impact in the big games and a useful squad rotation player.

I'm not sure about ridding ourselves of Adam that quickly. He's certainly not first 11 but when Lucas was on the pitch he played well. Like someone said on the Song thread; Adam can provide a certain role in a squad. By all means if we somehow acquire a better replacement; fine.

I believe he deserves the same chance to develop & correct any errors in attitude or application that the other new recruits appear to be getting.
I do still have concerns that he can ever get "fit" enough but I'd like him to try as he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about being at our club.

Hopefully both are fit around the same time.

I'd generally agree to rest of the players on the list. If they haven't taken part in a meaningful way this season it means either they aren't good enough or Kenny doesn't rate them so won't pick them. Why continue to pay them to turn up to a glorified fitness suit every day?

Not that I want to see it, but if someone comes in witha pretty good offer for Kuyt, I can see him going. Read somewhere possibly to italy or back home to holland? We shall see with him.

I would keep Adam. He has not been good this season but he is young and might need a bit more time to settle at a big club like Liverpool.

He will be 26 right? Not that young, suppose to be close to his prime!

I would not get rid yet though, decent enough squad player to have and after this season, SHOULD have a hunger to come out and prove everyone wrong which can only be a good thing. <ok>

I agree with the others though.

Why does everyone want rid of maxi? Does everyone forget that he has the best goals to games ratio out of all our players? seems pretty harsh. IMHO I'd have him starting every game, he always makes the effort to be in the right at the right time, something most our attackers haven't mastered

Think it is more of an age thing and probably wages. Get some younger, a bit cheaper, but room to grow, maybe more pace, depnds on what we are looking at if we are looking to sell. Would we buy similar to Maxi or someone different?

That's fine but what's the point of getting rid at such a low price? he's worth more to us than the token sum we'd receive. We will need strength in depth to challenge to top 4 and I think Maxi would be great to keep that depth, I honestly rate him higher than Downing who I would rather get rid of first

It's not a matter of our belief in his abilities it's obvious Kenny isn't convinced that either he's good enough or young enough for a significant amount of games in the season. And KD's decision counts. So I'd rather he was sold (also for his sake do he can go play) and a player brought in that KD Does believe can make that level of contribution. Otherwise we're back to my paying people for a workout every day.

Maxi was PROMISED a return to Argentina LAST SUMMER when he was told he wasn't leaving. He WILL go.

    Anyway:

    Maxi: Free
    Kuyt: £5-10M
    Aurelio: Free
    Carragher: Retire/coach
    Jones: £500,000/free
    Darby: £500,000
    Flanagan: Loan to EPL/championship club.
Pacheco: Could see him going for free.
    Cole: £5M +
Aquilani: Does the Milan deal stipulate a price? Ideally we want £10M or so?

If we get more centre mids we could arguably sell Adam or loan Henderson out.

And to be honest, with the space we'll have if Maxi and Kuyt leave, I'd rather have at least one top winger. We really need quality out wide. For depth, I'd rather see Hoillett than Maxi, despite how good he's been.

Yea fair enough, but this thread is about who we should get rid of not "let's predict who kk will get rid of".

Exactly: I was giving my reasoning for agreeing to the proposal that Maxi be sold; i.e. KD clearly isn't going to play him next year so for our sake and his, sell. My main reasoning for proposing people as per thread topic is "if they don't play (for whatever reason), we sell them."

IMO there have been too many years of us paying players to not play. Most were off loaded last year but nothing wrong with an annual "spring" clean.
Might sound harsh, but no matter who the player or how much they've done if they are not in the managers plans they are just putting pressure on resources.

Time for a lean, competitive squad. Yes, you can be unlucky & get a string of injuries in the same position but a wage bill at its minimum should mean buying power at transfer time if needed.

    Think the following will leave.

    Maxi (age,wages)
    Kuyt (age,wages)
    Doni (wages)
    Aurelio(surples to requirements)

    Maybe.

Carra to retire after cup final, and youngsters like Robinson,Flannagan and Sterling to go on loan.

We overhauled the squad last summer and that is one of the many reasons we have struggled this season. A lot mentioned above are players who are already out on loan so selling them should affect us. Aurelio has to leave because of his injuries unfortunately. Other than that I don't see the need to sell too many more. There are already a few positions that need filling before we look at replacing any players we sell in a clear out. Even Maxi's been playing more games recently so I wouldn't completely rule out the chances of him staying. It's time for a bit of stability at the club, the right signings this summer could bring out the best in some of the players that have been mentioned in this thread.
