A thread to discuss tonight's other matches and for us poor sods not at Posh an opportunity to update as the day progresses. I'm banking on a Saints win and City holding West ham. Can't see anything other than a Reading win though.. Need Leicester to win to ensure they are really up for it next Monday!

Leicester have blown it, the Millwall defeat ends their push in my eyes.
Bristol will fold tonight, 3-0 & Reading will break down a stubborn Forest.
So, no need to rely on anyone else, lets get 3 points & then start preparing for the next game.

I agree. A win and their safe, they'll know that and hopefully the added bonus of West Ham's scalp will drive them to it!

Not going to predict our result but i'm gonna go for a shock Nottingham Forest win or draw, think Reading are due a stumble and tonight could be it as Forest are in good form recently, taking 10 out of a possible 15 away from home.I'm also going to say West Ham will draw as on their day Bristol City are no mugs,as we know all too well! Whether we take advantage of it is another matter.

I don't care about the others.

Remember the words of our great leader.

    Control the controllable.

    Promotion is in our hands.

2 wins and a draw at least and we are up.

If we want the top prize then that is down to things outside of our control.

I would like us to go up as champions as I think the team deserve that but most of all I want us to go up.

Forest and BC both need the points to mathematically ensure survival.

They play Reading and West Ham, respectively.

If BC get a win or draw they will send Pompey down (so we can have a minor celebration anyway, fingers crossed)

Would be typical of this league if Reading dropped points tonight. Fingers crossed!

    On SSN:

Reading will be promoted if they better West Ham's result.

Portsmouth will be relegated if they don't beat Bristol City's result.

Coventry will be relegated if they lose and Bristol City win.

    We need to win!!

TBH guys - I cannot bring myself to think about the other games - I just want us to get three points and with Peterborough having only one recoginsed centre back tonight - surely we can do this!!!

    Head says

Bristol City 1 West Ham 3
    Readin 3 Forest 0
    Peterborough 1 Saints 1

Hopefully though, Bristol city get something and we sneak a win.

I must add - our defence needs to be solid tonight as weve been leaking a fair few of late and peterborough are scorers!

Agreed. Fonte and Hooiveld are probably the one of the best defensive partnerships in the league, but have been a little off recently. Im sure theyll turn it up tonight though!

Agreed, they've played an awful lot of games though and are probably feeling it a bit now (Same with Fox/Richardson among others imo)

I cant see BC or NF getting anything tonight, I hope City do though as top 2 is the aim.

Like others have said, will be double celebrations if City win or draw to send Pompey down.

We need 3 points though, so lets hope for that before wondering about anything else

You get some complete over reactions by Bookmakers this time of year. Some massive price ricks tonight. Much as I expect us to win Posh should not be 9/2 to win at home and neither should Bristol City. Equally Derby, who have been going really well of late, are massive at 11/2 to beat Cardiff.

How can you not care about the others! <doh> Are you saying that if Reading or West Ham were to drop points you wouldn´t care!?

Seriously, some people say the dopiest things. Everyone is going to be aware of the Reading and West Ham scores throughout the match as their results, like it or not, effect us!
