I think Parker's logic goes a bit circular there, Croydon.
Why has our form dipped? Because of our drop in form.

Interesting to see him pointing to tiredness, though.
Can't think how Redknapp might have avoided some of that. <grr>

Guys will you stop going on about rotation...how are they tired???

    Parker 36 apps

Mata 47, Lampard 43, Ramires 40...the whole Chelsea team have played more games, and travelled around Europe, some players, extra ACON games, but looked fresh as ****!

And yet they've all started less league games than Parker, Notso.

Chelsea have rotated quite often, using a larger pool of players and taking off tired players and resting players when they need it.
We've used a small pool of players and not given them any breaks, until they succumb to injury, failing to use all three subs or using them very late on.
We must have about 9 players that are virtually guaranteed to start, if they're fit.
Redknapp only wants to use about 14 of the squad.

I just can't fathom why you've put all that, league games, whatever games, games are games, you are basically saying Mata's 47 games has been easier on him than Parkers 36???, mate, leave it, we have many problems but tiredness is not one of them. A modern top flight footballer can only dream of playing once a week for their wages, which is all ours have done for most of the season.

So despite a number of our players talking about tiredness and looking obviously knackered, tiredness isn't a problem, Notso?
I'd suggest that it is and that it was extremely predictable, too.

Because they said so in an interview...oh of course then!, c'mon PNP, like they're going to say the real reasons, using that reason as a public statement doesn't ruffle too many feathers. Those above us will have played 20% more games, Uniteds squad through rotation (thats necessary) have similar apps to our squad...and they look knackered don't they? <whistle>

I know you're winding me up anyway, I'm right, (you should know this by now!) you're wrong, move on! :D

I will concede your case for Kyle Walker PNP, is 45 games for a young lad and looking like 50 for a season, good management? Explains his 'drop off', I hadn't realised he played so many, till I remembered he was used in the early EL ties. <ok>

    That's a hire we really shouldn't make.

Apologies to Swansea fans in advance, but at this moment in time he's nothing but the flavour of the month - just like Owen Coyle was last season. He's had one season in the Premier League, and whilst Swansea have done well, that isn't reason to take a massive gamble on a manager especially considering he didn't set the world alight at Watford or (especially) Reading. There's also the feeling that, if we brought in Rodgers, we may implement the DoF system again - and I'd be hard pressed to think of many DoF's who'd identify Rodgers as the manager they'd want to work with at this point in time, based on his lack of experience in the Premier League.

if we were going to take a massive gamble on a young manager, I'd prefer we went for Paul Lambert - but the fact is I'd rather we went for an experienced manager who is used to the rigors of taking a team into the Champion's League season after season, and managing the squad to do so.

This. Except for the Paul Lambert bit, the only manager I'd have that's currently in the PL is Moyes.

He also spent part of the summer playing for the U21s in the Euros.
Shame we didn't have an experienced international, who was fully integrated into the squad who could fill in for him, eh?

As for Rodgers, I wonder how much of Swansea's current success is a follow on from Martinez' time there?
They seemed to start down this road during his reign.

I did say that Lambert was as big a gamble as Rodgers, but Lambert does seem to have more nous to him (and can be compared to Moyes in a number of ways)

As mentioned elsewhere, Alan Hansen is trying to tempt Moyes to leave Everton and try his hand at Spurs/Man City via his column.

i just wouldnt want to risk no young up coming manager...and let Spurs be his project!

i want a bit of an old head..someone who says it how it is and knows tactics.....i dont understand some mental blocks in some managers like our own Harry and tactics...and everybody says his strength is man management and motivation.

to me that sounds like the role of a manager's assistant...plus hes been pretty dire at getting the best out of our team at the crunch time so im baffled as to what good he is at this stage for us with motivation.

i chose Bilic(not an old head i know) ,gets his players fighting for him and has tried tactics to some extent at the highest level...that what HR is aspiring to do...plus he might be able to convince Modric to stay..which is very important for us.

Aswell as what tots? thats all he's got, and is the only question mark. He hasn't at club level, caretaker for a few months at Hadjuk Split doesn't count really. You have to question the necessary knowledge of the PL today, watching the odd game with his Croatians in it doesn't really count either. he played in the late nineties, its changed a bit since then. Bit of a punt when you look at it like that, never handled a budget either.
