I used to believe that United, Liverpool and Arsenal were the only real cheats at the top of our game.

Yesterday's debacle proved me wrong.

100 Years of Nothing:-

I wouldn't dance too much just yet. We're still ahead of you, and you still have a humiliation to come, at the hands of Barcelona, setting you up rather nicely before your game against the Gooners.

I'm not going to pretend that I've had the best weekend's worth of footy, but there have been worse times. Quite a few, in fact. I'd rather us lose to you in the semi final of the FA Cup when we're still sitting 4th in the Prem, than when we've been battling it out for a place in the obscurity of mid-table.

Wow you really have had a bad weekend. So bitter. Us and Liverpool in the final, you must be hating it. Who do you want to lose more.....:emoticon-0102-bigsm

You are 4th, for now.

Of the 3 teams battling for 4th you are looking by far the worst and by far the most jaded. But even so, there are no trophies for 4th place where as we can still win 2 trophies. We probably will get beat by Barca, no shame in that they are arguably the best club side ever. Least we are still there though.

Yes, you can win the CL, but it's not likely, is it?



As regards the FA Cup, I would rather you win, simply because I detest 'Pool fans generally, whereas I only detest the Chavs who actually post on this board (and the knuckle-draggers who sang their disgusting chants, yesterday, at Wembley).


4th is ours to throw away, and the lads will be left in no doubt about that. If you were to ask RDM what he would rather have: the FA Cup and 5th spot, or no FA Cup and CL footy next season, I think we all know what he'd say.


Anyway, good luck against the best team in the world. Try to give them a game, eh. If nothing else, you are playing for pride.

There is no contradiction between saying we can still win 2 trophies and saying we will probably get beat by Barca. Until we are knocked out we can still win it...fact. And anyone in a semi final has a chance. Much like your boys until about half 7 yesterday.

Make no mistake, we are playing for a final place and much like yesterday, there is still a lot of life in our team yet.

And everyone will have their opinion but trophies are what matter and I'd take 1 year out the C.L to win another FA cup. No one will remember you got 4th in a few years time much like when Everton did it....once. Everyone remembers their FA cup win in 95 though.

We wont be as bad next year and I suspect in 12 months time we'd have secured a top 4 place, even more so if we are without European distraction if that is to be our fate.
