sadly the gas are a shadow of that famous club in the 50's and 60's with regular large gates, a tote end etc, sadly society has condemned lower leagues to eking out an existance and acepting any crumbs and trickle down from the rich premiership. it is time league 1 and 2 had their own tv rights. step forward a tv company to bring standardisation to the leagues. the gas may become the man utd of league 2 with such stars as matty h and irene doing regular interviews. oh those 50's and 60's i have my dreams

A complete failure. Couldn't even muster a top 10 finish! I’m thoroughly pissed off with the way we have gone over recent seasons. Next season better be a whole lot better, otherwise it won’t be Rovers I’ll be worrying about, it will be about me weighing up which is better, shopping with the misses or watching Manure/Arse hole on the feckin tele.

Bottom half of the worst division in English professional football, and gates are getting smaller and smaller. Looks like I’m not the only one getting pissed off with it either. We are, and have been ****e for **** knows how long and it's gradually taking its toll now. I can't pretend I can justify spending 20 quid (sometimes my last 20 quid!) to watch a poor footballing side disintegrate in front of my very eyes. The 40/60 quid a month I spend on football (not a season ticket holder) could be used to steady my finances and buy me some beers on the weekend. At least I would get something back from it!

MM had better make me believe early on next season, otherwise I just might miss the rest of the season, and seasons after that, whilst pursuing another hobby. Many have done it before me, and many will likely do it after me as well.

Rant over.
try being a wycombe fan chris,we have been worse than your lot :emoticon-0106-cryin

The 50's yes AJ. The sixties no!!! The Gas were as bad in the sixties as they have ever been. Unfortunately the Gas have gone through these spells of utter despair with great patches in between; Don Megson's team in the seventies and Ollies bit of magic, well nearly anyway! Even dispensed to Twerton Park at one stage. Of course at least at that time they were the superior Bristol team even if they did play all their games away from home. I am pretty sure we have seen the nadir of the present cycle and the Gas will not get any worse than they have been this season. I'm confident we are now on an upward trend. At least we are going forward at the moment unlike our neighbours who cannot gauge how bad they are as they are still relegation candidates, and there are no guarantees that they would be good enough to survive in the division below if they fall through the trapdoor!
So! Be optimistic Chris. It ain't as bad as it could be, or has been!!

Don't worry Chris, you didn't end up being the Barcelona of League 2, but at least you are the Rayo Vallecano of League 2... <whistle>

...and worst of all for the Gash, City stayed in the championship. That's your whole season's plans ruined.

Ta Ta

Yes indeed. It took the tinpots 15 years to prise themselves out of this woeful division. It will take us 2.

A decent manager like McGhee will get some of his own players in over the summer and away we go. No more BuckleBollox

C'mon the Gas!!
