I haven't seen any of this apart from his original broadcast and I don't go on twitter. If anyone is sending him death threats they are as big a fool as he.
Apart from being a disproportionate response, it only serves to make him look like a victim in the long run.
This is the problem with modern media and social networking technology, the world and his dog can mouth off their opinions when most of them should be kept to themselves.
Almost everyone can talk, but few have anything useful to say. Being a media personality doesn't make your opinion worth more than anyone else's. Davies should stick to trying to be funny.
 
Just an example of how many different people can view a day in many different lights, I'll use one of ours coming up at the end of May.

Traditional observance of Memorial Day: Many people observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries and memorials. A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3 pm local time. Another tradition is to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff from dawn until noon local time. Volunteers often place American flags on each grave site at National Cemeteries.

For many Americans, the central event is attending one of the thousands of parades held on Memorial Day in large and small cities all over the country. Most of these feature marching bands and an overall military theme with the National Guard and other servicemen participating along with veterans and military vehicles from various wars.

One of the longest-standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500, an auto race which has been held in conjunction with Memorial Day since 1911. It runs on the Sunday preceding the Memorial Day holiday. The Coca-Cola 600 stock car race has been held later the same day since 1961. The Memorial Tournament golf event has been held on or close to the Memorial Day weekend since 1976.

Because Memorial Day is generally associated with the start of the summer season, it's common tradition to inaugurate the outdoor cooking season on Memorial Day with a barbecue.

As you can see, some mourn, some cook, some go watch parades (wtf?), some party and watch sports! All in how you want to celebrate the lives/mourn the lives/respect the lives, etc. Also, There is also a big problem with war veterans and this memorial day as May 28th was not the original day and was moved ( probably to accomadate a 3 day weekend).

People will always take something that is close to them and remember it in their own way, how people can just bash for not doing it there way is just ignorant.
 
Bluff,the 'guy' who the article is about has written about the tragedy in the past and refuses to accept our supporters were not to blame so already had an agenda before writing his view on our stance.

If you were from this side of the pond you would know that we take **** like that personally.

Our club has always said that when the Hillsborough families give their consent to play on the anniversary(whenever there's a fixture on the same day)we'll follow their wishes.

****ING BBC AT IT AGAIN

I'm listening to Radio 5 Live. At the end of the 11pm news they have a sports round up and the end of which they reported that John Henry would not be at Wembley as he had flown back to the US to watch the Red Sox first match of the season. I just have to ask why this 'news' was worthy of issuing on a national radio station?

They failed to say that:

Our CHAIRMAN will be at the match

In the US, the first match of the season IS a big deal

We are playing a Semi final - it is not the final itself!

Why was this news issued? I hate to think about this but it does appear to be part of a media conspiracy to deliver 'negative' stories about Liverpool and I'm getting ****ing sick of it!!!!
 
Strange how the beeb never said before the Glazers that the then United owner would not be at their games because he was busy spying on women using a public toilet and bashing his bishop.
