Getting very twitchy about tonight so was wondering how nervous and apprehensive do you all get before a game? Do any particular games stand-out?

I was a bit worked up for the Pompey game.

Today will be odd and drag anit as I have the day off work and will be travelling down early to my Dad's so both kids can spend some time with Grandad before goig to the match. This will leave me with plenty of contemplation time.

I am fairly relaxed about tonight though as I truly believe that it is not a must not lose game. We need seven points to go up and I'll think we'll get those.

I get uniformly jittery for every game, regardless of its significance. Strange really as nothing else seems to phase me at all. My dog has been walked, I've done the shopping and have nothing in the diary for the rest of the day. Plenty of time left to get suitably worked up for tonight!

I'm tense. Most unlike me but from about 4am onwards today I couldn't sleep properly. As soon as my alarm went off at 7am, I was wide awake and could only think about the match tonight. Can't get it out of my head. I know we are still in a decent position should we lose but still can't shake that feeling that should we win tonight, we are as good as there and as champions. I say that with all due respect to Middlesborough, Peterborough and Coventry.

To those getting nervous I have posted a link (Locked-in syndrome) to an excellent broadcast that I heard last night. It should take your mind off the game.

I am as calm as can be and quite relaxed about tonight.

I want us to go up and I want us to be Champions but either will do.

Get worked up before most games, especially the Pompey one as couldn't bear to lost that. Am calm about this one because a) I think we will win it and b) West Ham will mess up. Did you see the look in Nigel's eye after the Crystal Palace game even before West Ham dropped two points...he thought that was a defining game...could hardly stay in the here and now.

I'm not feeling too confident right now mainly because the game is on Sky and it's Friday the 13th!

But I'm sure my feelings will change when I get to St Marys tonight. COYR :)

That's exactly what I said to the Missus when she bought it up! We are going tonight, only my 3rd game of the season and her 2nd, the other on being the 2-0 win over Palace on Boxing Day, hoping for the same result tonight but I am mighty nervous!

I am more excited than nervous. I am nervous in the sense that win tonight and I think we are up and more than likely champions elect!! I know bit of time to go but basically it means if west ham lose 1 game then they cant catch us!! Barring a monumental goal swing!! And excited in the fact that I think we are as good as up anyway, and tonight isnt make or break. I think we will draw tonight and win at peterborough and I feel our promotion will be sorted at the end of the peterborough match!! West Ham will lose tomorrow

But if we win tonight and West Ham lose tomorrow (which I think there is a strong possibility of) then we are promoted. Unless we fail to gain a single point in our remaining 3 games and West Ham can overturn what will be at least a 12 goal deficit should we win tonight and they lose tomorrow.

I am sure of promotion even if we lose tonight, though it will make me twitch about the P'boro game. We could still win the title, but, if Reading beat us, we could have no complaints.

I'm pretty nervous - I don't normally get nervous but with so much riding on tonight, (and bragging rights at home!!) it's starting to take over my thoughts the closer it gets.

Obviously I get nervous for derby games, and games that could be potentially tricky or important, both of which Reading is tonight.

But that will all add to the atmosphere. I'm so excited, I just wanna get down there now but I doubt the boss will appreciate it!!

I don't see this as a derby, but nervous as a very nervous person about to take my finals in nervousness. Haven't felt this bad since, let me see, last Monday at Palace!

Pretty nervous about tonight, because of who we're playing and the significance of this game. Felt the same way before we played West Ham at St Mary's in October, and that turned out alright.

I was emotionally all over the place on Saturday, a total wreck. There's nothing like a derby. Don't think I'll be that wobbly tonight whatever happens.
