Another 4 points for us from our final 4 games means that we are 10 points ahead od west ham and with four games left that would leave them having to win all of there remaining fixtures due to our superior goal difference. To me I can definitely see us getting 4 points and to be honest i can't see west ham beating brighton, leicester and hull. Anyway Im sure it will be stressful for us no matter!
The here and now! Mind you I am oddly fascinated by numbers at the moment and wake up in the morning running through scenarios..if this...if that. Basically comes down to the fact that if we don't get promoted now, we will have seriously screwed up and have seen no signs of that so far. We just could have made it easier for ourselves.
I'm thinking now that depending on Saturday results, Bristol City on Tuesday could be Hammers toughest game. They could guarantee survival that night. But really we must forget the others. Focus on the next game in a run to win 7 points.
Yes, I know that I should stay in the here and now, but I find myself checking the table twice a day, in the way that I might admire a new car. I know it can't have changed since I last looked but it's just so nice to look at. Hope it looks even prettier after tonight!
Ha ha CF, on Monday evening I left the PC open on the championship table while watching television with Mrs FLT and she caught me looking at it. She said "how many times are you going to look at that"; I replied severL times every day this week!!
Probably also worth pointing out that West Ham have Brighton tomorrow. Brighton will be desperate to get back in the play-off places and will need the points to keep pace with Blackpool and Cardiff above them. They were unlucky against Reading and hopefully can go one better tomorrow and get at least a point.
I have amended your comment as I am reminded of Wengers comment that "everyman thinks he has the prettiest wife at home". Like you though I keep peeking at the table at every opportunity. Life is truly wonderful at the moment and I am not stressed about this evening. If Saints win I shall be overjoyed, if its a draw then West Dam wont like it and if Reading win then I shall just be philisophical about it.
My seven year old son is a bit of a maths freak (hey it's his idea of fun) and is for the first time showing an interest in footy & saints as he produces ever more interesting permutations on the current situation. For some reason I just have it stuck in my head that as long as we do not lose tonight we are up. Funny how 3 weeks ago WHU probably saw a draw in this game as a good result for them, not sure now.
Not sure about that one...if we win tonight, West Ham can still go up if they win their remaining four games and we lose our remaining three games. Unlikely, but not certain promotion yet.
I reckon we will get 7 4 points i believe will be enough, 6 points will confirm and 7 mathematically..... But why not go for 12!!!!! COYRs
