Checking out the news now site today, I came across this eggcellent article as to how we as a club are moving forward. It came from the free london paper give out at the tube:

" In order to cut down on the annual cost of purchasing eggs, a cost being in th region of £5000 a year, to supplement the cost of the playing squad, Fulham bought 12 laying hens for the Motspur training facility. '

This has to be one of the best stories I have heard for ages. Just imagine when we are trying sign a player now:

" We can offer you £35000 a week and you can be guareented fresh eggs every day from the onsite Fulham hens "

Who could refuse an offer like that !!!

p.s: I am sure a hen only lays one egg a day. 12 eggs a day does seem much for a whole squad of players, may be the players will have to really hard if they want one.

Silky, being a gardener I once had to try a get rid of some foxes from a garden. We tried everything but still they persisted. The one thing that worked was the most bizarre bit of gardening I have ever done. A friend of mine worked at London Zoo and got me some lion sh*t, which I duely mushed up in a watering can with some water a poured all round the boundry of the garden. I can tell you now that lion sh*t is severely disgusting and has the most pungent smell you can imagine. I always wondered of the poor foxes on their nightly stroll coming across their garden retreat and thinking " what the hell, some lions have moved into the garden here on Highbury Hill ". Talk about being freaked out. Anyway, maybe as well hens and foxes, we may see Lions at Motspur Park in the not too distant future !!
