In terms of actual SAFC players (and not any players on loan from different clubs) I'd take Gyan and Probably Henderson. Sessegnon sounds good, but I haven't taken enough notice of SAFC matches to know how good he's been since he came over here.
Yeah pretty much agree with Chappaz Would take Gyan (has a knack of being in the right place at the right time), Henderson (Good start now tailed off) and maybe Gordon if he can find a way to deal with horrible dirty potters long throws! Also as much as I hate him I'd probs take Bardsley just because he's passionate!

Both average at the back, decent battling midfield (ours slightly better with Tiote and Barton) and a struggling strikeforce (Your's better with Gyan+ Wellbeck when fit)

If we are being serious I think all the my team is better than your team is understandable but futile. At the end of each season the table will show who is best, last season it was Sunderland, the season before Sunderland just and this season we are not far apart.
Rather than the endless fighting about who is best I would rather say how good it is to see both in the top half of the prem, must be good for northeast footy

That takes into account so many factors though, so it's a poor judge of which side has the highest quality players. In the overall team performance, things like motivation, morale, tactics and managers have such a huge influence. For example, I think West Ham and Aston Villa have some quality players, but their positions in the table really don't reflect the quality they have, at all.
Stoke, on the other hand, have quite a poor quality team in my opinion (I wouldn't want ANY of their players full stop), yet they've found a way to win games. I don't think their high position reflects the quality they have in the team.
So, when you take all that into account and want to figure out who you'd take, all you can really do is look at it on a player-by-player basis.

It depends who you ask. If you ask a moron, then yes, the table would not lie. However, if you ask someone who has an IQ above 80 and isn't stupidly biased, then they would agree that there's quality players in each team, and that the league position may not truly reflect the quality of either side. Just look at you guys. You went from winning a lot of games, to going on a losing streak, and the actual team has been improved in-terms of quality. There are just so many factors.

I said up there. Gyan and Henderson. Maybe Sess, but I don't know how good he is.
To tell you the truth, I haven't watched enough SAFC games to know for sure, but when I choose out of the actual SAFC players who aren't just there on loan, then the two I've mentioned are the only ones who stick out. Maybe one of your CB's to replace Willo and Tayls on our side? Again though, I'm not entirely sure.
PS: Probably Gordon as well. I love Harps, but he's getting on and I've heard Gordon is pretty damn good.

I would have Barton too but would need a physio on the training pitch for when he looses it, that guy could have been an England regular if he would tone it down. but hey who am i to criticise 10 whiskeys and ill fight anybody
He's cooled himself right down lately, but the problem is that he's targeted by other players to try and wind him up. Barton was kicked by Fuller in our last match against Stoke, but action isn't being taken because 'no cameras saw the incident'. It's happened plenty of times before too. Just look at Diaby shoving him. Barton didn't even react.
I'm not saying Barton is now a saint, but to be fair, I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking that he's the easiest to wind up, and then attempting to wind him up so he lashes out.
PS: Samba is immense. I'd take him too in a flash.

He's had all the counselling, hasn't he? I just think that he will always have that "edge" about him - it's in his genes. (Not his jeans).
He's knocked the drinking on the head and I think he's had anger management. Seems to be trying to turn himself around. Considering how much of a hot head he was, and considering how many people have tried to wind him up unsuccessfully (minus a certain Blackburn game) I applaud him. When you have that much of a problem with the 'red mist' it's hard to shake off - especially in a high intensity football match.
But yes, I doubt it'll ever go away. Sometimes a slice of aggression is just part of a successful players personality though.
