Just got home from the game, and have got to ask, can anyone please tell me why Ramsey is in the team? Why does he consistently get picked in the starting 11? I'd like to know what I'm possibly missing out on? He had yet another useless performance where the only thing he showed was that he doesn't deserve being anywhere near the starting 11, not even the sub bench.

Oh and btw, I was at the match, and the fans beside me were asking for Ramsey to be subbed off (lest I be accused of being sour or 'fake' or just hating on him)

I know, and people in the match thread were telling me "he had a good game". I'm wondering what match they were watching tbh. He played marginally better because he was against a Wolves team that were down to 10 men, leaving shed-loads of space all over the pitch. He still fecked up way more than anyone else though.

we're all entitled to our opinion ofcourse but i think he had a good game. Ok he missed that good chance but his link up play and passing was definitely good. I know people say hes had enough time after injury but everyone reacts differently. I still say he'll come good though he should be used sparingly until the end of this season.

good link up play against a hopeless 10 man wolves......and still looked cr@p too even while he supposedly had a good game against relegated bound 10 men wolves, lol.

I thought he did well earlier in the season, and I think he has potential to be a starter at some point next season. Just... right now he is beyond bad. It's bad for the team and it's bad for Ramsey for him to be playing like this. A summer to train, re-cuperate, and regain some confidence is what he needs because it's been a long season for him.

His link-up play and passing weren't good either... I counted quite a few opportunities for him to play through-balls and he missed them all. Earlier in the season he would have spotted those. His terrible shooting is what alarms me most though. I know it's superficial to value shooting ability, but to be as bad as he is suggests some real problem with composure at critical moments.

Don't agree at all. I thought Ramsey was the pick of the midfield today.

I have to say I don't understand the reason behind this post. This is a highly subjective point of view. I've had one or two other say to me they thought Ramsey had a good game today. I certainly wouldn't feel right as an Arsenal fan, making an attack on a player until I was fairly certain that I was in a very heavy majority, and even then, even if I was critical, I would do it in a more sympathetic manner.

Oh, and another clean sheet for Djourou. For the people who are always on his case.

I don't think we should go after Ramsey as this is only a temporary loss of form. I can understand Wenger playing him as he probably wanted to rest Rosicky, but i expect Ramsey to be dropped to the bench in the next match. Sometimes to improve someones confidence is to play them but it also becomes a risk when results are important to secure 3rd. Once we get 3rd nailed on then by all means stick him on. I just hope he picks it up soon as he'll find it hard going when Wilshere comes back....

    Ramsey played ok.
But more importantly it gives Rosicky a short break.

The win was important. Ramsey is so very young, he won't be anywhere near a quality player for another few years. While Wilshere was great before his injury, it remains to be seen how he is when he returns and what role he will play.

I'd expect to see Rosicky / Song / Arteta / Wilshere / Frimpong play most of the games next season depending on whether anyone else comes in. Ramsey will get a few games due to injuries, but he needs time to develop. With the Summer break to rest and revigorate him, I'm hoping he comes back ready to push and challenge next season.

For this, the break afforded to Rosicky, along with the time now before the Wigan match should mean he's able to play the next few games no problem, helping Arsenal finish the season strongly.

Pretty much agree with all that except I'd expect Coquelin to feature over Pingpong. I'd like to see the big man go out on loan for 6 months at a Premier League club to get game time.

Anyone else a bit wary about Wigan after seeing how the played against United?! It's always risky/tricky playing relegation battling teams but fook me they moved it about nicely, not to mention battling for every second ball. Also, do one Fergie - decisions over the season equal out my arse. Never a corner and should have had a penalty = fine, no argument there. The flip side would be that a perfectly decent goal was dissallowed and Evans should have been sent off. More farcical refereeing.

Unfortunately i can't see Frimpong feature that much, his injury was bad and he may go out on loan in the second half of the season at best. Your comment on Wilshere is true, it all depends on how he comes back. This will determine how Ramsey gets into the playing 11. Of course, injury and form is still a factor in all our playes, but i would always have Arteta, Song and Rosicky in my first 11, if Wilshere isn't there. I just hope Ramsey picks his form up and gets in. But please no left wing play Mr Wenger!

By the way, we've forgotten Diaby and Coquelin, they too will complicate things further......

Ramsey was chewing gum during the game. I could not believe my eyes to be honest. This is so unprofessional.

This article is a ****ing joke.

To some extent I can understand some of the recent critiscm but last night Ramsey was excellent. In fact he was our best midfielder.

He had a shocking game against QPR fair enough but last night he was very good. I have no idea what you must have been watching but it certainly was'nt the Arsenal game.

He's been lacking confidence that's all.

Ramsey will be a class act those who cant see that will be eating their words in a couple of years time.

Aaron knows you cannot be criticised if you chew gum.

I'm waiting for the excuses to start flowing when people realise what a good player he is ...
