Wiz i bet your ass was going, Especially with that curry you had, and along with the other 19,002 you went home BUZZING what a game, when we went 1-0 down i thought that's it, we didn't look good enough to score, then the 2nd half whistle was blew and within a minute stead somehow got it in and gave us belief, then again Del boys tactics done us the world of good YANNICK BOLASIE you wont score a more important goal in your career that that one, take a bow son, and finally Woody is getting on the score sheet with a lovely goal Well lads we've got Birmingham next and as it stands are 2-0 up against another team we have to play, but with the belief of the last 2 games we might see a very confident city side Anyway I'll give my ratings Gerken 7 - The goal was no fault of his own and had a solid game, but was never really tested Foster 7 - Played very well at the back and got back well Fontaine 7 - Was a rock today, a few times he got himself foward and done well out muscling there number 22 who was a big bloke Bikey 7 - Very solid and commanded the defense well McGivern 6 - Had a good game but a few tackles were reckless Adomah 6 - Out of form at the moment, there was a glimmer of his former self there but never got in the game Skuse 8 - Tackled everything that moved and sat well in front the defense Kilkenny 8 - Got back well and made some great passes Pearson 7 - Made some good passes and got stuck in Stead 7 - May of scored an own goal but still he usual self and topped it off with an important goal Pitman 6 - Really showed today why he should be a sub player, Very disappointed Subs Bolasie 7 - Made a BIG impact and finally got his first goal for the club Ephraim 6 - Good work from him and bolasie leading up to the 3rd Goal Wood 7 - Made a presence of himself and done well to hit his 3rd and city's 3rd today McInnes 8 - was surprised to not see cisse in the team but he got his tactics right and his subs spot on to win us the game Crowd 10 - Was always behind the boys and we sang our hearts out well done to you all, Mostly those in the front of the dolman who must of been soaked through Well that's it now until Saturday so one last thing, always believe, we can and bloody will do it COYR!
well summed up shiny, the team spirit seemed good, as if they really wanted this. I'm sure we'll still get some that aren't happy!
i dont think we will massive, we played really well today, but then again you could be right but lets hope everyone on here is happy with the result and we can see positive comments
Was a great result today, well done to Del & the lads. I too was shocked that Cisse was left out but hey it's 3 points and must admit didn't see us getting 6 points from the last two games. Kilkenny was very good today IMO, Pitman, bad day at the office and IMO deserved to be sent off for that tackle. The football wasn't pretty as I seen many of our players slipping over (need longer studs), but the result was, which is all that matters.
4 more points should do it I reckon. If we get another win against WHU or Brum then I'd say we've made it but I won't count any chickens until the last game of the season. Great game today, fully deserved the 3 points and was great to see the boys fired up at the end. Happy!
I thought we were ****ing awful and McInnes should be sacked In all serious I thought we looked ok in the first half did not deserve to go 1 down, but the second half we were fantastic, they were resulted to just hitting it long. I did think at that point they would do what we done to Forest. Skuse played today like a man possessed tackling anything that moved in a blue shirt. To me he was Mr Bristol! Mrs Redordead said after about 10 minutes he will get MOM Well done Del tactics over last two games with team selections done the job. Subs today fantastic. Woods 2 in 2 not everyone's cup of tea held the ball up well and had to do when we lost Pitman. Can anyone tell me what was wrong with the disallowed goal?
i was just about to ask the same thing ROD, must of been a foul in the box As for woods, lets hope he goes back and upsets his old club
I'm in Hog's Heaven (happy as a pig in ****!) Congratulations to all the squad (including those who didnt play, because those that did did you proud). Now our Championship retention is in our own hands, and if we go down we will have only ourselves to blame. The team have shown over Easter that they have it in them to stay in this division, and Del has shown the doubters that he also has the required qualities to progress this club to where we all want to be. Still bottom of Wizered's predictions league - and couldn't be happier about it. Maybe i'll get one right before the season ends
Cheers onefor, glad it was disallowed I won the score prediction. Lucky I was going to place a bet for Pitman to score first for a 3-1 win could of lost my £1 there, it was 40-1
My asshole finally unclenched... Lucky I hadn't eaten. Better team from start to finish and it speaks volumes none of their players made it onto the scoresheet. If players can keep up that belief we may be able to make the claim that we have strength in depth as a squad... Hell, two subs scored and one of the season's best players didn't even make the teamsheet. Not getting ahead of myself, but today was special which in a season of doing the double over the probable league champions is something. West Ham shouldn't take us lightly.
Congrats, much as it pains me to say it. You needed to win your last two games and you did, so fair play.
What a great game. Just got back to Devon after staying over at my bro's to sleep off the celebratory booze. Skuse was everywhere. Del went positive by leaving out Cisse. Nothing against him I'm sure but we couldn't go with two holding midfielders in this game and the way Skuse played justified him being the one to stay in the team. I've been really impressed with Amougou in the two wins and well done to Del for bringing him in. He has helped us tighten up at the back and whatever we may have spent on his wages has been a bargain so far. Let's hope we can keep our nerve and pick up enough points in the remaining games to ensure this weekend turns out to be as good as it felt!
