Last seasons top scorers in the championship and their current prem totals with 5-6 games still left to play.

    Danny Graham Watford 24 - 10 in 30 appearances 4 as a sub
    Grant Holt Norwich City 21 - 13 in 30 appearances 11 as a sub
    Shane Long Reading 21 - 7 in 26 appearances 6 as a sub

Lambert is now on 28 in the championship with 4 games left to play he has already got 4 more than last seasons top scorer who already has 10 in the prem and a whopping 7 more than holt who has scored 13 in the prem and people are talking about england.

    The man is a machine.

And does so much more for the team than just score goals. The man is ten times the player holt is.

Players like Rickie and Grant Holt will always get you goals, no matter what league they're in.

Don't understand the slating Holt gets on here. He's no Lambert but he's not a bad player by any means.

I don't understand it eithr. I watch Rickie week in, week out but I have only seen Holt play in a couple of LIVE TV games. I have no idea how anyone other than someone who watches all of our games and all of the Norwich games can compare the two.

It's probably because IIRC he had a reputation for being a dirty player when we were in League 1 with Norwich & certainly dived a couple of times when we played them at SMS. I don't give him a hard time personally; IMO it's good on Norwich for what they've done; but I've not seen them play once this season. Hopefully Holt's game is far more mature than it was then.

He got some criticism after the JPT game I think (wasn't there so don't know why), seems to have stuck since then. Good player who like some other strong forwards earns a lot of free kicks for his team, guess that doesn't make you popular with opposition fans.

I was at the JPT game in question and injury time, Holt went down like he had been shot when Wayne Thomas didnt touch him, the ref even came over and told him to get up, let the play go on and we launched it long and papa waigo scored in the 93rd minute with Holt still rolling around!!!!!! Think that has stuck with some fans understandably so....
