1) WTF? 2) OMG! 3) I never thought we'd win the league nor did I think 3rd was nailed on but in my worst nightmares I never imagined we'd go through a run of : L L L D D W D L and be struggling for 5th! 4) FFS! 5) No doubt certain players will already be getting excuses readys to why they need to leave i.e. to play champions league football (which they blew). 6) WTF? 7)Does this mean Bentley stays....? 8) Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh! 9) thank **** I never bragged to gooners and Chelsea mates when ee were flying high. 10) Hope the players take a long look at themselves 11) Did I mention WTF?
1) My thoughts exactly 2) Yep 3) Same - I knew we'd have a blip but nothing like this 4) Yep 5) Of course - Modric, Bale etc 6) Yep 7) Probably - we won't be able to shift him and he'll probably match the calibre of players we have left once all our 'CL' lot leave 8) Who'd have thought at the start of 2012 we'd be here 9) Same 10) You'd like to think so - don't forget they're 'tired' though 11) Think so
Plenty did brag though. Oh and 5th is being very optimistic. It will be 6th, and the likes of Bale, VDV, and Modric are playing their last games for Spurs...
Right back at ya. 'Sing when you're winning' is quite common on these forums and why not? We were playing well and Arsenal weren't - at that point in time we were a lot better. It's natural now to expect bragging from the rest because the roles have reversed. Fact is - Arsenal and Chelsea have, compared to previous seasons and what they would expect from their club, had terrible seasons - clubs of your 'calibre' shouldn't be scrapping for CL spots.
... and it certainly won't help you being out of the CL again. I think Defoe will be forking out £5k to Wilshere too... I bet Jack will enjoy that.
Well actually earlier in the season I admitted you were better than us, but did warn you lot not to be too over zealous at it might not last... that was met with much laughter - as if you had it in the bag. Unfortunately your bag had a hole in it.
Do you think it's right that CL is now more important then trophies? And that payment is going to charity so don't care who pays up!
Being a spurs fan is like a soduko puzzle...full of hope at the start, elation when you get all the possible numbers followed lots of WTF's and 'how the **** is this possible end
but the difference with Arsenal is that we have proven time and time again that we can cope when we lose our best players, maybe not perform at the highest standard such as competing for the title etc, but none the less still maintain a high standard of being in the top 4, and consistently being in Europe, and often times we have actually made some title runs like in (08, 10, and 11). Can the same be said for you? Do you really think Spurs will manage to reach the same heights they did this season if they lose some of their main key star players? I think we both know the answer. We've lost Fabregas AND Nasri, two of our best players last season, and we sit 3rd in the league right now, so not too bad at all if you ask me. .
Charity yes, but the banter between the two is obvious - JW will be delighted. Expect some tweets LOL
Off course we want trophies, but if you give me the choice of a trophy, a basic one off, and ending mid table, then I wouldn't take it, because that's not really building anything, that just means you're a cup team, Cardiff won the Cup back in 2008, has that really done anything amazing for them? Liverpool won a cup this season, but look at how utter sh!t they are, I wouldn't want that.
You've got a ****ing cheek to be posting on here, Jayram. You wrote your own team off, called for your manager's head repeatedly and slagged off virtually your whole team. It's a joke that you're now trying to ride on the back of the recent success that they've had. Couldn't be more two-faced and fickle if you tried.
True. I'm no Alan Hansen fan, but what he said about us ages ago always comes back to haunt me at times like this. He said, "They'll always let you down"....
