Was just thinking how quickly the next game actually comes for the players. Sunday then the morning after isnt much time to recover before being shipped of to crystal palace. Was just thinking if you think this is a good thing or a bad thing. So obviously negative is very little time to recover for an away game will that effect our performance? Or is it great for the players to be on the pitch ASAP to get rid of the bitter taste of a last minute draw? Oh and while were here how are we all feeling about palace?
Not great, especially at a time we are feeling all the knocks. Hammers & Reading getting an extra day does not make me feel any better about it either, but trust Nige to rally the troops.
Reading get two extra days, they're not playing again until Tuesday. Does mean they'll theoretically be more tired come the match up at St. Mary's however.
It really shouldn't matter, as Crystal Palace are in exactly the same situation. So it doesn't affect our chances of winning the game at all
The downside is that our players will likely be tired; the upside is that we have more depth than Palace, and if sore legs prevent them from pressing throughout the park, it is to our advantage. Would not surprise me if de Ridder and Butterfield earned starts, but otherwise a lineup similar to tonight. We have an easier game than either West Ham or Reading...time to get reestablished.
