Feck me! I mean, this is apocolyptically bad football. Not just us, but Nottingham Forest as well.

I don't believe that there isn't a single player at Bristol City that isn't better than Amougou or McCallister, they are making us look more laughable than we need to look.

I have no pride in this team whatsoever anymore. Why are we using loan players at this stage of the season??? Why? They have no fight, pride, passion, energy or care for this football club and what happens to it at the end of the season and that is showing on the pitch in abundance right now.

Football in general has slid down hill massively in the last 10 years, and my god doesn't this kind of utter sh!te make me think what's the point in following it at all anymore.

Things that I can see so far:

*Manager has picked players that have no care in whether we win or lose because in 2 months they won't be here.
*We have a 35 year old and a 34 year old in defense that can't run, and McCallister has been turned inside out everytime the ball is near him.
*1 players on the pitch on loan looks far too out of shape to play in an already slow and aged defense.
*Almost every time we attack the oppositions half there are 8 opposition to 3 or 4 of our players.
*We are pumping the ball long constantly to two players who are evidently incapable of winning header.
*I can't be bothered to list all the other stuff I feel so deflated.

The last few weeks have looked like we were mathmatically relegated in January, and there doesn't seem much point in trying.

I am ashamed of everything about my club from the backroom to on-field. Ashamed and let down.

Can anything result in the second half to make me feel any better?

    We've looked horrendous.

And inexplicably we're in front. I'll take that.

We got infront from a bad cross that almost went in, and a good keeper made a rare mistake. Then our on-loan striker only just got it in.

We look even worse now than the first half, and to be honest, Nottingham Forest should be relegated even if they don't finish in the bottom 3, because they have looked worse than Blue Square quality when they do have the ball.

The only thing I would say we have done right is put Gerken in goal for the last couple of games. James should have never been offered a new contract.

    Please step down Colin.

We look even worse than in the first half? Are you having a jolly? This half we've been protecting a lead, in the first we were incapable of defending or attacking. Some of the defending this half has been excellent with every player putting themselves on the line, possibly as they know none of the players in front can do anything with the ball when they do get it out.

Positives have been Foster, Gerken and Cisse. I truly hope they're still City players if we stay up next season. Carey has also led by example which is impressive seeing we shouldn't even have to call on him to start such an important game. Forest have had no luck, really. I didn't think it was the strongest penalty shout, but on another day...

Sickeningly average in attack which really needs to change on monday, otherwise the capacity crowd will turn into a crucible.

    AGAIN GERKEN!

Wow, only good attack of the game and we score only for it to be incorrectly ruled out.

Edit: Adomah back and tackling. This is what we've been looking for.

Sickeningly average in attack? What attack? At what point in either half did we hold the ball, and look threatening? When did we play any football worthy of calling it a hearty offensive move? Come on.

Will grant you that Carey looked okay today, Gerken the ONLY performance of any merit.

It's easy to look good defending when you have 9 other players helping you though.

You are aware 'sickening' isn't a positive adjective? No Gerken wasn't the only performance of merit, you've looked at this game with **** coloured spectacles. To say the second half was worse than the first one belies you were watching the game at all.

Did you also not see my post suggesting we only had one good attack? The one that occurred with three minutes remaining? That's terrible, I'm not disagreeing with you. The fact is we won and bar long shots and set pieces they didn't have a particularly strong chance. We had something like a dozen games in the first half of the season where opposition fans would cite our quality and tell us we're among the best they've played after we lost. That doesn't help. At this point of the season playing absolutely **** and getting three points helps.

Edit - Oh and I forgot to mention Skuse. Messy, but boy did he give everything.

I say well done lads, but how did we get away with that? Great keeping. Cisse & Carey played well. As for Wood, he's bloody terrible.
Anyway a great 3 points, now we need to beat Coventry.

Guys for Christs sake! At this stage in the season I don't give a **** how we play as long as we win, which we did!

Immense defensive performance and I saw players willing to put their bodies on the line for the cause.

Come on you reds! Let's get 3 points against Cov on Monday even if it is another ugly performance.

Got to be honest two crap sides out there,
    We looked horrendous.
However we took three points something we have not done at the city ground in my 48 years of life.
Forest and us us are both poor.
    Coventry is massive now.
Can we take any points time will tell.
Gerkin was awesome as was Carey and Bikey.

Well done Matt, I don't care how ****e we play at the moment, I will worry about that next season.

3 points is 3 points and Woods might not be to everyones taste but he still put the penalty away and also had the shot on target that Camp could not hold when the twat of a linesman got hat completely wrong!

Well done City we all wrote you off before that game but you made me happy tonight

Right we can moan about how we played until the cows come home, but the only things that matters is we won, and we deserved it, we put the ball in the back of the net TWICE, forest did not, so lets all be happy we are out the relegation zone and could possible save our keesters on monday

Not a scintillating watch- we still cant keep the ball under pressure- we still play the hoofball to Stead and Wood- Forest certainly more quality defending and attacking but they seemed to run out of ideas- and our defence was awesome, didn't allow Forest any clear cut openings. We certainly didn't win any plaudits from the neutrals-- but who cares it's 3 points for a battling performance...
