Will be interesting to see if any action is taken against the officials although wouldn't be holding my breath..... There needs to be accountability when the decision-making is that poor but week in week out these issues go nresolved. At least if a player screws up and gifts a goal then they often get dropped: seldom if ever happens with refs and assistants.
Agreed entirely. It does make one wonder how some of these officials just "can't see" what is so blindingly obvious, and can clearly be seen by people with a far poorer view than them!
They get dropped too but the length of time they're dropped for varies with the pissed off manager and club's influence. The lino will probably have Wigan again last game of the season.
Nothing will happen to the officials like always. Chelsea's luck must run out soon? FA Cup hopefully I've seen Chelsea's run in and they'll be lucky to catch us and Arsenal with our run ins. I just hope we don't mess up and hand 4th to them. We won't lose 4th because of the wigan game if we do miss out, we would have just handed it to them. 3 points on monday is a must. Lennon must start and Sandro needs to go on holiday.
Agree with the above. I am a big fan of Sandro but Jake must start above him at the moment. Yes, I know that he probably needs match time following his long lay off but we cannot afford the type of errors that he committed today. 9/10 one of those would have led to us conceding - just lucky we happened to be playing against a team with no fwd ambition whatsoever.
This is a difficult one - Sandro is potentially one of our best players - remember Milan last year, but he is obviously lacking confidence and dropping him is hardly likely to make that better. Just say a quite thank you that he got away with it today and keep picking him. Parker gave the ball away just as much as it happens, possibly not in such dangerous positions, though
Agree PS but last year is last year - and this year we have an alternative. Scottie did give the ball away too but cannot recall anything that left us exposed - unlike Sandro. I still believe that he will prove to be one of our 'best buys' but we have 6 games to win and cannot another slip up. Because of that I would rather put my faith in Livermore over Sandro just now.
It's not a difficult one at all, he needs to be left out. I keep saying he doesn't look fully fit, but today he was hopelessly off the pace, gave the ball away cheaply and got his usual booking. At this stage of the season, we cannot afford to be carrying passengers, and much as I do like Sandro, he's a liabilty at the moment.
Just been browsing the Mouser board. As always, it's an education in delusion. There are several posts talking about plundering the Toon in the Summer for players. These Mousers don't seem to realise that the Toon are miles ahead of 'Pool in terms of size and development. I know that some will say that 'Pool is a bigger club, but I would absolutely disagree with that comment. They used to be a bigger club, before they nearly went bust, and the bank sold them off to some Yanky cheap-skates for a knock-down price. I'm talking about now. And I don't care about the so-called "international" fan base of plastic fans. They're all buying Messi shirts this season, since there are no real stars at 'Pool any more. The Toon's fan base is just as fanatical as that of 'Pool, and they pack their stadium ever single time they play there, as well as send the Toon Army to all away matches. More importantly, both the Toon's owner and its manager seem to have a clue about how to run a club, which 'Pool clearly doesn't. I am so glad that Everton is now the best football team on Merseyside.
I think he is potentially good. However, for some reason he seems to think that flying into tackles and chasing the ball like a Jack Russell in the park will get him a regular start.
Everton are indeed now the best football team on Merseyside, followed by Tranmere Rovers, with Liverpoo trailing a dismal last. An analysis of the Mersyside teams' last 10 league games, shows that Everton have gained a creditable 18 points, Tranmere a very creditable 17 points, with shabby old Liverpoo only managing a pathetic 8 points. A club in decline.
Uncle Woy is two points behind them. Is it too much to hope for? King Kenny + 100 million quid = Uncle Woy
The abuse Woy got from their fans was disgusting. Whatever people think about Hodgson, he is an honourable man and deserved far better treatment and respect than what he got. Yet, a year later, along comes the knob called Dalglish with all the charm and humour of a rattlesnake, and he somehow survives all their current mediocrity. I really don't get it.
