Southampton 2-2 Portsmouth FT, despite leading twice the saints failed to take all three points against a dogged pompey. I think this result really highlights Southampton's lack of mental strength. 2-1 from Billy sharp in the 89th minute but you let it slip. West Ham and Reading are mentally stronger and i think Saints' long run at the top of the Npower Championship will come to an abrupt end when the saints are brought down to earth by a class Reading. Today was a must win game but you've dealt a huge blow to your automatic ambitions.

I'm bound to ask, why you should be so concerned, but I know people who often want to make a point disregard the logic of a situation.

Hey mate, good to hear from you. What's the latest news on your starting XI? I'm assuming that immediately after the final whistle yesterday they were all immediately escorted to Reading Gaol on eleven separate charges of assault. Oh well. I'm sure your good friend Peter Ridsdale will bail them out.

Great attitude. You'll go far in life

Lets be fair though, if you finish 3rd and lose the play offs i know who will be happier out of you and me. Because at the end of the season both teams will be in the championship. And if you do finish 3rd you won't win the play offs. The team hat finished third has never one the championship playoffs. It's also a bit OTT to say we're mid table considering were 7 points of the play offs and 20 points of 22nd wouldn't you say?

You say that West Ham and Reading are mentally stronger?!...Reading maybe but West Ham no. Their home for is very poor. They get very nervous infornt of their home fans.
...and how was today a must win game!? We are STILL top of the league. There are 5 games to go and we have an brilliant chance of reaching the prem and you, on the other hand, are mid table with no chance of going up.

Thanks, my Yorkshire friend. I was feeling a bit low, and this amusing article cheered me no end. I do love a good laugh.

I never said you were mid table. I haven't looked that very down the table for a while though so what would i know. And no i don't agree with you. Supporting a club is all about excitement, and the play-offs are incredibly nerve-racking games. Even if we did lose in the play-offs we would receive more money than you and be able to attract a higher quality of player in the summer, with the allure of Premier League football after a year. I struggle to see why any footballer who went into the game for the right reasons would want to play for Leeds if they watched the Reading game. You have superb fans, but from a neutral point of view, no-one likes your manager, players or footballing philosophy.

you must have **** for brains- 24 teams means 12 is in the middle. you are in 11th place so mid table- points have nothing to do with it. if we needed to see how to bottle promotion, all we would need to do is look at leeds a couple of seasons back. we are still 4 points clear of west ham with a much better goal av. so 5 points clear

Swansea finished 3rd last season <doh>

I agree. IF we finish third it will be the players fault. They will then fail in the play offs as we have zero momentum. yes i know we have just come off a great run but when was the last time we actually played well. A couple of weeks if not months ago.

You sound like an 8 year old let loose on a computer. Please do yourself a favour and stop talking.
