I still prefer we play Damian Duff over Bryan Ruiz, but think that MJ will stick to the latter. C O Y W !!!!!!!!
That was quick. Only yesterday Jol was saying Sa was back in contention after over coming his injury. I was thinking yesterday that Jol would play Trotta up front ahead of Sa as he wouldn't be match fit, now Sa is injured again, will he get his chance ? I hope for tomorrow the players don't fall back into their comfort zone thinking it's an easy game and they don't need to try cause they're safe. Bolton are fighting for their lives and it will be a tough game. Team I'd put out Schwarzer Kelly Hangeland Hughes Riise Murphy Dembele Dempsey Kacaniklic Ruiz Trotta
I feel we will get rolled over. We are a bit like the French rugby team..you never know what team will turn up.
Two possible answers to this, so I thought I'd let you choose which one I went for: 1. Yes, I saw that Bandy, but the general tone of this board is one group of people (usually including me) finding reasons to be optimistic and positive about the immediate future, and another group (usually including you) finding reasons to be critical and pessimistic. It was a lighthearted reference to that phenomenon. 2. No, I didn't notice that you'd tipped us to win because I've learned not to actually listen to anything you say! Take your pick from those, Bandy (in good humour!)
The bookies have it at - 6/4 Bolton ¦ 23/10 draw ¦ 7/4 Fulham Big Brede is out at 33/1 for first goal, 12/1 for anytime - Clint is 7/4 anyime I think I will put a pound on for Duff to score first, 1-1 final score @ 66/1
I like the look of Super Brian,so line up with Kaka sand Ruiz inter changing. One for the future; could Trotta and the Pog play together? I have yet to see Trotta play.
I do like players who seem gel in partnerships. For me Hangeland and Hughes are the best in defence Sidwell and Murphy in midfield The 3 Amigos of Dembele, Dempsey and Ruiz gel well. Pogrebnyak and Johnson have clicked in some games, but Johnson has been injured a lot. Gera and Zamora seemed to play well together, Duff has played well with Pog up front on his own. Kacaniklic and Trotta from what I've read and seen in clips have played well together in the Academy and Res. Whether they can do it in the Premier is a wait and see, the Bolton game could be ideal start to find out. But then comes the question do you give them a runout in the Chelsea game ? if it goes well against Bolton.
Hell! No Danny. Back 5 as expected but Diarra (!!!), Dembele, Dempsey, Duff, Kacaniklic, Ruiz. I'll take a draw. May as well bring on Trotta early.
2 up at half time has to be good, but we don't look as convincing in defence as usual - Riise has been skinned a few times. Deuce looks to be doing well for a guy who "can't play up front on his own" - let him get his Hat trick then lets see Rodders on for a couple.
Dempsey is as good as any striker we've had when we are going forward. But what he can't do is hold the ball up and when we are under pressure, that makes it much harder to defend. If Bolton manage to sort themselves out at half-time, our lack of a striker could cause issues in the second half. Of course, I'm always happy to be proved wrong about this kind of thing!
