Firstly, the current Barcelona side is arguably one of, if not the greatest club sides in the history of football. But even they can be beaten.

And lets not forget who we are. This is going to be Chelsea's sixth Champions League semi-final in nine years, not too shabby. The last month or so has shown we're not the shambles we had been the rest of the season.

Yes, Barca are favourites to win the tie and you imagine probably will but those predicting a hammering will be severely disappointed.

I and ,I think, most Blues ,are realistic about our slim chances of making the final, but we always put on a great show against them! Barca know this too and I guess wont be taking any prisoners! But,.as they say, " Its a funny old game...."

I and I? Are the drugs wearing off?

Sorry Harry---missed a bit of punctuation! <grr> Getting a bit like your boss! Cant read or rite proper!

I think the problem is, you have to beat Barca the team, Barca the cheats and Barca's ref. Makes it all the more difficult.

I'd be shocked if there are some dodgy pen decisions in their favour over the 2 games.

To beat Barcalona we need Miereles, Mikel and Ramires in the midfield. To kill Barca you need to kill the Xavi - Iniesta to be stifield by the constant energy of two box to boxes, and a holding to pick up the pieces. Man marking Messi is not an option, you have to kill the ball before it gets to him. Sadly, we have the right types of player, not the quality required I think.

A small club in comparison, competing against the greatest team ever. The quality difference is so wide that it would take a miracle like
the parting of the Red sea for a Chelsea victory over two legs.
Maybe Roman could buy this one? as its your only chance.
Just being honest, good luck.

The quality difference aint that wide.

Come on, we are a top 8 seed and now in the semi's for a reason. And Barca have never beaten us 11 on 11 post Roman.

Ensil you really are a bitter **** aren't you?

We have a far greater chance than you Spuds would who were humiliated 5-0 by Real last year.

This is what we hear every time we play Barca.
But here are the facts: In the RA era, Barca have only ever actually beaten Chelsea when we've been down to 10 men.
Last time out we were only 30 seconds away from eliminating them and with a braver referee we would have done.

The difference in quality isn't as big as made out.

And Barca were far from stellar against a good but far from great Milan side.

Why do you think this is important? They will start as overwhelming favourites, regardless of recent history. Fact is they beat you last time you met (11 players or not) and while they were desperately lucky, it won't make them nervous about playing you.

Actually, it was a draw. Barca only won on away goal.

No team wants to come to the Bridge on a big European night... that's all I'll say.

Robby <ok>. I'll check his IP and get right on it, now it's been said he does have that distinct stench about his writing style...
