If this was in January it would be a big blow. But with less than a month left we have other players at our disposal that can do just as good a job.

ie. Connolly, Barnard

For all you that act rude, it doesnt phase me so carry on. I visit this forum daily and look through. I saw this article on the bbc, and for me was far more confirmed and official than the previous threads. I didnt scroll through to see them all!

Your as much of a mug for commenting on it as i am for posting a genuine article that you feel has been mentioned elsewhere

So..... Well done

But where is Connolly, the last i heard (and that was some while back now) Connolly was injured as well. Otherwise I would have thought he would have been in the match day squad on Saturday with no Rickie. It is very unfortunate for both Saints and Lee that he won't feature again this season, he appeared to be at least part of the answer to winning away matches with his pace and energy. Guly was doing a good job earlier in the season when we had out striker crisis part 1, but he seems to have lost his confidence a bit and doesn't look like scoring (he's a bit of a bus though..should he get one, i would expect more to follow). We all know how important Lambert is, I just hope that he will be fit for the run in because without him its going to be a lot tougher.

Without Lambert, Lee and Connolly. We have a choice of Guly, Sharp and Barnard. Sharp and Barnard are probably to short as a front partnership, so i would expect Guly and Sharp to start and Barnard on in the second half if needed. Failing that...release our secret goal scoring weapon...Jos Squarehead Hooiveld

^^^ Cheers benditlikeabanana :)

Some people think they boss these boards and its an ultimte crime if you missed and repeated a post. This was the first official article i had seen about it and rather big news imo for our promotion run in

People shouldnt feel worried to post anything at all, its a free forum for all to discuss. If i dont like something, i move on. Suppose some people have a little too much time on there hands

Come on guys you can't necessary blame the OP. Nothing has been made official on the OS as far as I know. If you have someone out for a long period is it any wonder that little stories/posts are going to keep cropping up until it is made official. For a long term injury for the hell of me I cannot see why they need to make a secret of it. To be honest I find it a little frustrating that they are not keeping us informed of how bad some of the injuries really are.

Agreed! They hardly tell us anything so I'm not holding my breath

Nige keeps his cards close to his chest.

My friend works for Soton Uni and was planning the welcome party obo the Japanese students and lee cancelled last minute as he was away in London having Physio. So i believe, although not on OS, this is official.... however, i would not be surprised to see him back somewhen knowing Nige :)

Either way, we have a strong enough squad to drive the last 6 games! STARTING SATURDAY!

We are blessed with probably the busiest board on the site. Have look at the activity on high-flying Reading's board and see how many new threads there are on the first page. Not everyone spends hours on here and threads disappear onto page 2 so quickly we are bound to get repeat threads, but hang on! I could get all grumpy about the repeated threads on maybe, Guly, Sharp, Martin, players form, Lambert being vital, The need to get various positions strengthened, , fans leaving early, booing your own players, the quality of pies, where we will finish, etc, etc.
So, let he who is without sin cast the first stone at the messenger.
I agree that the lack of information is frustrating but the club are at least consistent. My main worry at the moment is Lambert and as Harry might have said, I fear that our strike force is getting down to the bare bones for the run in.
