Assuming these 3 things happen which in my opinion the first two definitely will.

Mancini sacked by City as they needed to win the PL or CL this season and 2nd isn't good enough because of the money they have spent.

Redknapp is going to take the England job.

Mourinho will choose City over Spurs.


Why not go for Mancini as next Spurs manager?

He speaks good English, has won titles and cups and personally I feel he would be a big enough name to keep Modric, Bale etc all happy.

You think we should employ a manager who has been sacked by a club with unlimited funds, to see what he can do with limited funds?
 
Have to agree with Spurf here, if he cant do it at City with all the money in the world at his disposal then what chance has he got with our limited budget.

Given his time at Inter saw three straight Serie A titles, plus back-to-back Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup wins (as well as cup wins with Fiorentina, Lazio, and Man City), he's got a decent record when it comes to winning things - the Fergusonites in the press would have you believe none of these count for anything, of course, whilst the Mourinhians would have you believe nobody ever won trophies with Inter until He arrived.

On the flip side, the Italian press weren't enamored with his style of play (and, I will point out, even less so with Mourinho - their opinion of him was that he was Mancini with a higher wage packet), just as there's few fans of how City play or his habit of stockpiling defensive midfielders.
 
Mankini? No thanks. Apart from anything else, he's far too "my way or the highway" in his way of dealing with players. That might have worked years ago. With today's multi- millionaires - not a chance! He's already come second in his battle with Tevez, and looks like he's way behind on points against Ballsotelli, as well.
 
City would probably have inserted some sort of clause in his contract that prevents him from taking over at another English club for some time, if he's sacked.
It would look terrible for them if they gave him the boot and he joined another club and did well.

Is that legal? Unless they are paying him, that would be restaint of trade, surely?
 
Judging by the replies, I wouldn't have that thought again King!, for what its worth my opinion is no also. Mancini's mouthing off makes him look a buffoon eg.

"we will beat Bayern Munich"
"Tevez is finish...he will not play for me again...never"
"United will do a draw v Blackburn"

Mancini isn't a man manager, something I think a lot of our players need, hence why we play so well under Harry. Plus Italians generally use a defensive mentality, wouldn't suit us.
 
If Man City got rid of Mancini - which I don't think they will unless they had already lined up Mourinho - then they are unlikely to be worried by him going to a club with less resources than them.

I am still a big fan of Martin O'Neill
 
Alot of Mancini's behaviour has been due to the team he is managing...i cant verify but i really doubt if he had so much drama at Inter Milan,where he had a limited budget and alot of success.

He has been told to win the league
He has been told to oust Manchester United as the main team in Manchester.
he has spent over 200 million because he was allowed to.
He has got disruptive players and i believe he has learnt his lesson with that idiot Balotelli and i doubt he will follow Mancini into another club ever again.


i cant see that being the case if he ever joined us,with us it would be a case of :

lets make us into say a top 3 team for the forseeable future.
Levy has never been solely driven by the fact that he wants Tottenham to overtake Arsenal...like the obsession in manchester.
He might get 30 million to spend and would be aware of that..probably just like at Inter.
We dont have any social ******s at our club thank god...and he only sticks with Biblo because he probably felt obliged since biblo kept on calling him 'daddy'. With Tevez he reacted with his heart but then couldnt offload a 30 million pound ****** with excessive demands..so what do you do? let him run his contract down and the clu loses a 30 million pound cheque? i think alot of us would viliffy our manager if he did that...alot would want him sacked.

To come into a club and be expected to win the Championship would bring with it extreme pressure and that can bring out certain things in ones character..he wont have all them pressures at Spurs..would he?

i doubt it...so he could get on with his job like he did at Inter,i think.
 
No, just for the Tevez incident. Your star player refuses to enter a game late when you're down in an important game. You

A. Say nothing in public, talk to him in private, and decide to do something if anything like this is repeated.
B. Say nothing in public, talk to him in private, and try to get him sold in the next window.
C. Say nothing in public and tell the owner, it's him or me.
D. Tell the press all about it, swear he'll never play for you again, find that your comments have sliced his value to a small fraction, and bring him back when you think the team needs some help.

we live and learn in life.

it is just as badly dealt with as HR saying that 'Sandra could have put that one away' when Bent missed...

Bent cost us 16 mill...regardless of wether he featured in our plans or not..thats alot of money spent on a player who the last thing we need is to be made to look worse than a housewife...yet at the same time bigging up Taarabt in order to get a fee for him.
