Hi, Chelsea fans. Norwich fan in peace here

Was a bit bored so was looking at the Liverpool board and their reaction to their hilarious form of late and noticed that they really are having a go at gerrard at the minute and how bad he has been for the last two years.

FINALLY! At last Liverpool fans have realised what most of the neutrals have realised for ages that Lampard is a far better player than Gerrard. Well done Liverpool fans, took your time
 
It's nice when a neutral with no axe to grind--recognises what I and most of my fellow Blues have known for many a long year---that SupaFrank has always had the edge over Mr G. Sorry Steve- Frank may be an oldie--but he's still a goodie!
 
Frank in my books has always been a better player, but probably not as much of an inspirational leader as Gerrard was. But, whatever we say about the past, they're both no where near what they were, and they both have their own qualitie, so arguments aren't really necessary.
 
Gerrard has lost it a bit recently but over their careers he has been a better player than Lampard.

Not according to the stats he hasn't.
Gerard was more dynamic and had the occasional fabulous game, Lampard far more consistent, far more reliable, scored more , created more, and did it in a modest calm way.
Gerard often looked better, but over a season ,he didn't actually play better at all.
 
This argument makes me laugh everytime.

Majority of people used to say Gerrard.

Stats don't lie unfortunately.

Most goals in EPL history for a midfielder, and 2nd most assists in EPL history, behind Giggs

Stats can say whatever you want. Gerrard has played out on the wing, and as a holding player Lampard hasn't done either (except bizarrely for England) so stats aren't the most reliable. Also Lampard has played in better teams than Gerrard. They have both been fantastic players, but using stats to judge is wrong and in the end it is just down to personal opinion, you can't prove these things.
 
It's a tricky one.

Gerrard was always a big fish in a small pond at Liverpool and he likes it that way. the truth is he would be ineffectual if he stepped up a level like Lampard did when he left West Ham for Chelsea.

For what it's worth I think Gerrard is the better footballer, but Lampard the better player if that makes sense <ok>
 
He really isnt though...

Name something Gerrard is better at than Super Frank.

Apart from hoofing the ball where 1/10 shots goes in
 
I'd say a lot better on the ball, but like I said - that's it.

Not to mention how much of a professional Lamps is compared to that toerag.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous comments. Cant stand it when people say it's not about the stats/numbers. Football is all about scoring goals and assisting them because if you don't score you cant win matches. Lampard has 149 premier league goals compared to Gerrards 89 premier league goals also Lampard has 91 premier league assists. Lampard has played more games than Gerrard. But Gerrard has been injured more in his career thats why he has played less games which means Lampard is physically fitter as well. This conclusion proves Lampard is the more consistant and better player than Gerrard.

Well John Terry isn't expected to score or assist, Lampard and Gerrard are.
