David McNally has tweeted in the last half an hour about the rumours going round - I guess he means the Morison/Tierney spat.

https://twitter.com/#!/davidmcnally62

"Can we just get back to supporting our players please. All this negative untrue stuff from faceless keyboard warriors is unhelpful. Please RT"

"The rumours circulating are unfounded and untrue, and yet they are very unhelpful. All NCFC deserve your support."

"All NCFC players deserve your support"

At the Wolves game just after the players had come out to warm up, I overheard someone saying that he'd heard Tierney has been told he'll never play for the club again as long as Lambert is in charge. This made me chuckle as I'd seen Tierney and Pilks signing autographs on my way into the ground just 45 minutes previously.

Can you honestly imagine PL telling a player he'll never play for the club again and then allowing him to continue to sit with the squad in official NCFC suits at home games?

Some people really need to get behind the team instead of coming up with fantasy reasons for players being out injured for a bit longer than expected.

Tierneys sat at every home game, just behind the dugout with the other lads not playing. I can see his bald head from were I sit.

If this rumour were true, would Morison and Tierney be in that close proximity? I'm guessing no, some peeps have taken this way too far after a couple of pints on matchday trust me. Pathetic.

I think every club unfortunately has a set of fans who like to think their important and in the know. In my opinion they are nothing but insecure pricks, they like the attention and like to act like they know what is going on behind the scenes and that's all guys. They are exactly the type of people who start rumours at work about the office or other peoples careers when nothing is actually happening.

Fair play to McNally. Utter tosh really
Whether this action stamps out the rumour, who knows

Could anyone see doomy doing something like this under his reign!!?

Do these 'fans' realise what damage they do when they spread this kind of rumour? Do you think morale has been affected, if McNally has had to come out and quash the rumours?

Bugger, I've just heard another rumour, completely un-related and now I don't know whether to post it or not ? Probably another load of crap anyway <doh>

I heard a rumour a couple of weeks back about something that happened during the midweek break in Spain last month, and it was told to me by someone who actually knows Grant Holt so I suspect this one might actually have a bit of truth in it, I'm not going to divulge on here though.

It was nothing too bad, but it does sound like that whole trip was a complete shambles from start to finish.

I thought this had all died down, has McNally re-ignited it?
Personally I'm fed up hearing about it;
a) It's none of my business.
b) I don't really care either way.
c) They're old enough to sort it out themselves.

Football, it's the football I'm interested in, so can we cut the crap out please?

people spreading the tierney-morison rumour are morons as far as i'm concerned. i saw with my own eyes that there was nothing between the players in the players lounge so i knew it was bollocks anyway but its as though some people need to find a reason for why a players not playing in the starting eleven or being out of form, so make up a rumour and spread it - about our own players! i mean, thats pretty daft and totally detrimental to our cause. because of course, players should be at the top of their game all the time shouldn't they? and they can't get injured can they? there always has to be an ulterior motive for it doesn't there?

idiots <ok>

I think I might have heard this one. Bit silly if it's the same one

Sorry but I have to tell this old one, no harm intended.
Bobby Charlton and Garth Crooks were commentating on the England v Germany match when Charlton said to Crooks, "What do you think of that Rummenigge?"
And Garth said "What rumours that Bob?".
