I never said anything about fan bases, yet it's the first thing you bring. None of us (saints fans) are comparing Our fan base with yours.
Indeed the Manchester clubs are running away with it this year but there are 4 or 5 clubs not too far away From challenging. There is a huge gap between the 2 Glasgow clubs and the rest of the spl and until you show that you can compete consistently with clubs of the same stature you won't be taken seriously.

Guys, why the hell are we trading insults with a Celtic fan? We've got the derby against the Skates on Saturday. Let's concentrate our energies on the right things perhaps?

I'm guessing that the Celtic & Rangers games have such a worldwide appeal is that the majority of expat Scots abroad support them and as they are the only 2 teams to compete for anything in Scottish football.
There's a much better quality and range of teams in England who have more fans spread out among them and around the world.

To say that Celtic and Rangers have larger support bases that Manchester Untid and Liverpool is a tad dumb.

Six points is a huge gap?

There's a THIRTEEN point gap between Man City in 2nd and Arsenal in 3rd FFS!

    Celtic park capacity 60,832

    Ibrox capacity 51,082

    anfield capacity 45,522

    old trafford capacity 75,811

The numbers dont lie <doh> rangers and celtic clearly have very similar fanbases to the two biggest clubs in england.

haha, what was the score against your bankrupt rivals..? Everyone knows they're the real champions of Scotland, which last week demonstrated. If you're so happy with your league why have you crawled over to our board and tried to exchange insults, perhaps deep down you know that you would rather be in our position playing premier league football next season...? Thought so.

I didn't question their work rate. You cannot deny they are not as gifted as most players in other big games, and clubs.

Could Healy or Bougherra play in Inter vs AC, Galatasaray vs Fenerbache, Barca vs Real, Roma vs Lazio, Dortmund vs Bayern? No.

Yes they work hard, but to an extent, hard work only gets you so far. If the natural talent to play at the very top level isn't there, then they won't get there.

The Old Firm game is extremely passionate, but perhaps for the wrong reasons, and loses its sparkle when it is played 5 or 6 times a year. It is not one of the best matches in the world. It has passion, but the quality of football really isn't there when you look at other derbies that I previously mentioned.

    To talk about those players:

This is Healy who scored 3 in 16 for Port Vale, 1 in 13 for Sunderland, 4 in 30 for Fulham, 1 in 12 for Ipswich (in the Championship too), 2 in 13 for Norwich and 29 in 111 for Leeds. What a superstar.

Oh and Bougherra, of Crewe, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic. If he is so great, why was he always in our lower leagues? <doh>

And the final example, Mr. Stokes. 3 in 36 for Sunderland, 0 in 12 for Sheffield United and 1 in 13 for Crystal Palace. Super duper. <ok>
