Lots of comments on various threads on how Reading are awesome, they will overrun us, we are doomed to finish 3rd, we are crap on TV etc etc

Trying to be positive and looking at the two squads I can't see many if any of their first team squad I would bump a Saints player for.

So assuming everyone was fit the question is if you if you could exchange a Saint for any of Readings players who would it be and why?

Sorry all obviously the thread header should be swap! Could some-one with more IT nous than me edit please. Thanks.

federici is very good, kebe seems to be decent and pearce has a good record. other than those 3 i am struggling slightly

I think thats my point. Player for player we have a much stronger squad and other than maybe exchanging a back up player like Connelly for Kebe or maybe Martin for Pearce, I'm very happy with what we have. I would back us to beat any Championship team nine times out of ten and our current position proves it!

Yeah they looked amazing on saturday.

All players/teams have off days.Luckily this season we haven't had many and whilst I'd be happy to have either Reading centre backs in our squad they would not displace either Jos or Jose for me. As RLGB says they have both, especially Jos, been amazing this season!

The centre midfielder looked quality at the weekend, Ledgetwood (not sure on spelling). Haven't seen enough of him to say he is better than what we have but he certainly looked a class act against West ham.

Agree with that, he's a more accomplished version of Hammond.

Both teams have their strengths and weaknesses so it is difficult to compare like for like. Reading are a team I admire and combined we could put out a Championship team like the following:

Davis
Richardson Pearce Hooiveld Harte
McAnuff Karacan Leigertwood Lallana
Lambert Guly

Bench: Frederici, Gorkss, Schneiderlin, Hunt, Roberts.

Maybe McAnuff or Kebe for the right wing, but I wouldn't swap anyone else. McDermott has them playing very well and I think NA or any other manager would have a job squeezing any more out of individuals.
