As the saying goes , if you dont win make sure you dont lose, so in all a points better than nothing, altho the others have gained points on us. HULL'S lost to coventry , which for us was disappointing,so nows the time to turn our home form around and give us lions faithfull something to cheer about, no excuses we must win... no losses ..no draw's just ... WIN !!!
it is now getting very tight at the bottom think Pompey and Donny have shot their bolts Forest are going nowhere now they have found their form, Coventry hit and miss but are showing some good form, I think our game at Coventry is massive with the winner staying up leaving the last place between the loser and B.City a drawer at coventry will mean any one from us three. So lets hope B.City start screwing up big time. BUT ITS ALL GETTING TO DAMN CLOSE FOR MY LIKING
As you said to me recently Mighty - keep the faith. We are going nowhere. Think today was a fitting tribute to Kitch. He would have watched that game with pride. That's all I wanted today. We don't lose Kitch and our Championship status in the same season. Won't happen These last 6 games will be played in his memory and in his spirit. We'll be OK COYL! Good to see Tim Cahill, Mark Phillips and even Zak paying tribute to Kitch.
Agree Mighty , think pompey and donny more than likely have gone, Coventry is a slight worry as theyve picked up and hopefully calamity james will do his best to insure Brizzle stay in the bottom3, just hope the club learn their lessons and dont leave it late again when it comes to the summer transfers which contributed to our below average performances
Two or three wins (6-9pts) should see us over the line. Some points at home long overdue but avoiding defeat at Coventry a must really. I think they play forest next, a forest win is probably the best outcome but would realistically see them safe. I see Bristol being the team to go
Forest are at home to Bristol this week so i think a win for wall and a win for forest should put us too far ahead of bottom 3 it will put us 7 pts clear with better GD and only 5 games left
You will win comfortably, we are playing with no passion or quality and the wheels have completely come off. I'm going 2-0 to you guys, and that's being optimistic.
I think we will win at least one of our next 2 home games(Hull and Leicester) as they both seem to have messed up any chance of a play-off place so (i hope) will just be going through the motions, where as we have something to fight for. I think saturday will be an emotional game and the crowd will roar us to a vital win and set us up nicely for Pompey on tuesday. Bristol City have Forest away and Coventry at home coming up, they are gone if they fail to win any of them games.
Coventry were among the poorest sides to come here this season and still won at a cantor and deservedly so, that's how poor we were. If we play like that at yours you've no excuses for not winning.
Your tailing off and our need is greater so just think were finally get a long awaited home win Hoping for a big crowd to give Barry Kitch a good send off
Was thinking recently if we will win any of our home games this season and still can't get our 1000th win at home. Hull and Coventry are must wins to be in with a good chance of staying up. What a **** season!
Bristol have 1 shot on target and win at forest! Our win at Hull looks like a vital 3pts and another 2 wins needed to be sure of safety, preferably against cov and pomey
Great day for Kitch and superb send off. Photos and video shown at the Den - very good. The game itself wasn't pretty - and we hit them on the break rather than the other way round. But it worked: 3 points at this stage is 3 vital points. Players? - for me: Taylor - looks comfortable and no flaps or punches (think Fordey's had his day) - but gk not really tested today, Lowry, Robbo TC - very solid; Smith - got better 2nd half, Jimmy - what does he eat to find that energy, Wright - some great passes, Henry - ran and pushed, Bouzza - not making the tough challenges and rightly subbed but Feeney didn't make great impression, Kane - very good and Keogh - persistent. So good to walk away celebrating a home win.
