Hello geordie scum :)

I've just registered to not606, and i've looked at the Boro boards and it's rather dull and empty.

Anyway, i thought i'd ask you about one of your class younguns Nile Ranger.

Do you think this lad will be let out on loan? I think he should come to Boro on loan. His finishing ability needs work, but the lad has immense power and pace, and i saw him tear the Spurs and Arsenal defenses apart. I'm pretty sure you should have had a penalty because his shirt was continuesly being pulled during the Spurs game.

Anyway, it's not that i think he's not good enough for the PL, it's just that i think he needs to be on a team that allows him to start regularly, and give him the opportunity to increase his confidence and composure infront of goal. My mate is a Newcastle fan and he has shown me some of his goals for the reserves. He has scored some beasty goals.

I personally think he could be much better than that big long string of piss Andy Carroll, on the ground atleast. The lad is a machine. He could be great for you one day, but i think he should come down to Boro and i reckon he could be a great player in the championship for a season atleast. He could also benifit from a rough hand, because i heard he is a bit of a tear away.

What do you reckon? Our strikers aren't doing us much good, and i think Ranger could be a big player in the championship.

As a thankyou present we'll also take Shola Ameobi off your hands :D
 
Ranger needs a loan spell to perfect his finishing technique yes, he'd rip the Championship apart.

Hands off Shola. He may be a useless tit sometimes, but he's OUR useless tit.
 
Doubt Shola will go to Boro but you never know, he's the Drogba of the Championship.

In regards to Ranger going out on loan, it all depends on how many striker/s we buy next season, but personally I'll love him to be playing regular football week in week out and he could really benefit from a full season in the Championship to boost his confidence.

Bennett isn't that great, wouldn't want to see him in a Toon shirt
 
Yeah a championship loan spell would do him the world of good. Just need to make sure we get cover in first but I'd say a three month loan at the beginning of next season would be good for him and us.
 
I think a season in Championship wud be good for him tbh

Let him bang in 20 goals (I think he could) in the Championship and return to really compete for starting place

And ye Shola/Perch/Xisco/Smith any of those cud be included in the deal for Bennett ;) haha

Yeah he got an attitude, we need 2 get it out of him i.e turnin up for trainin on time etc.

But potentially is a class striker. He only 19 and when Carroll was 19 he wasnt as good as Ranger so we need 2 keep hold of him and nuture him imo
 
^ Agree. Attitude-wise, definitely needs to improve that, same on the field to be honest. But the potential is certainly there. Potentially can be better than Carroll IMO. Quicker, possibly stronger? and more agile.

Yep, he is one of those that cud end up at Arsenal (his team) or Durham City. Up2 him really
 
He's a good talent Nile, and he always makes an impact when he comes on, but if he wants to be in the first team he has to show more professionalism in training.
