Bent to Newcastle?

The discussion about Aston Villa Away got me thinking about what could happen if they did actually get relegated and what players might become available.

Obviously Darren Bent sprang to mind. I would imagine that he would want to leave asap if they went down, and probably would cost a lot less than £24 million as they would need to get him off their books.

So, if we could pick Bent up for around £18 million, would you want him?

The positive is that he is a proven 20 goal a season Premiership striker.

The negatives are that he does not do much for the rest of the team and seems like a moody mercenary.

Who else would you like to get from them?

That depends, i think Bent is a great striker, but how much would he cost? I'd be no more than 12 mil for him.

Yep, I agree, although Bent is anything but mackem hence him jumping ship to a crapper club for bigger wages. Would have Albrighton, Agbonglyhornygong and Cuellar though, straight up. Cuellar is underrated and they really missed him at the start of the season through injury.
