Hi guys!
I don't post here often but I do lurk around quite a lot (not sure why, i just always forget to sign in then can't be bothered to look up my password...should just leave it as signed in) and I've come to the conclusion that the great swans community on here could help me out.
I'm an English swans fan living in bournemouth - i've been living in bournemouth for 9 years now after i was living in swansea from ages 1-8...i went to quite a few games at swansea when i was young and i loved the club and the place (was in tears when we moved house, albeit i was 8
) going to swansea games got me into football full stop, and although i've kept track of the swans over the years, including a rather over the top celebration in my front room when they won the play off final, i've only been able to get to one swans game since i moved - last year me and my dad went on a trip down memory lane to south wales and we stopped in to see the swans beat doncaster 3-0. i had wanted to go for years earlier but never got the opportunity and annoyingly i was never available on the few occasions the swans travelled to bournemouth when they were in league 1.
At the start of this season i was thinking that i should try and get a tickets for a game this season (preferrably at home) because i was worried the swans would go down and i would miss the opportunity to see them in the prem. luckily we are safe now and look good for next season, and i want to try and get to at least one game...but the issue is that the liberty sells out every week! so, what are my chances of getting a ticket to a home game? and does swansea operate a loyalty system like southampton (me and my dad went to a few southampton games when we first moved here to see some prem/champ football) where you have to pre-book months in advance? because that would make things really difficult...
Alternatively, i could go to an away game; are tickets as difficult to get away from home? it looks like southampton will get promoted from the championship this year, so do you think i could get in there? i'd really appreciate the help because so far i've had no luck...although i suppose i am in a much better position than some of the fans on this board who live down under!!
Additionally, is anyone else having an issue getting a shirt online? i bought a nice little swansea hat 5 years ago when i went down to south wales (didn't get to see a game on that occasion, although i think my dad got it from the stadium - can't remember to be honest) and another one last year when i went to the doncaster game, but what i've always wanted to get hold of was a shirt. unfortunately the website seems to have said they are out of stock all season - is this the case or are the SCFC site staff being a bit lazy?
I wonder if they will be more available next season...
EDIT - Just realised the title seems a little irrelevant...for context, it was linked to that query as to whether the liberty has a loyalty scheme or anything. i went to the vetch quite a few times but only once to the liberty. when i was down last year it was in the middle of demolition
