McManus could be recalled due to Middlesborough suffering two injuries to their CB last night.

I personally hope this don't happen as I have been impressed with what I have seen off him

A massive vote of thanks to Stephen McManus who gave everything he could while here at City. A loan player with a difference to many who see loans as a holiday without responsibility.
Maybe we get him back if we can stay up?

From the evening he arrived for us and entered the starting line-up before many realised he'd actually joined, McManus was a big help. Would certainly like to see him back.

well from what i seen of bikey in his reading and burnely days he was an excellent player, this is why i couldnt wait to see a partnership of bikey and mcmanus and with them 2 in the defence we could of been a really good team, lets hope K9 is another great defender

He's better than what we have but so's my Dad. We need a Shaun Taylor and McManus couldn't wipe his boots.

And in my opinion Shaun Taylor not as good as Mark Aizelwood, but just don't understand why you want to knock people's comments?

McManus came in at a difficult time and we are saying that we appreciate him, not he's the best defender we have ever had.

'Shaun Taylor not as good as Mark Aizelwood'

Unbelievable. Mark Aizelwood was an absolute Welsh joke, all he ever did was moan at Mark Shail.

By the way were you knocking me or merely expressing an opinion.

You can read my comment as to knocking it or expressing it how ever you want.

Also my comment about Aizelwood was as it states My Opinion, I thought he was more than a Welsh joke, but maybe because I am Welsh I also saw him in internationals.

This thread was simply put up to appreciate him for his short time with us, not to say he's the best we have ever seen.

'I also saw him in internationals'

Am I correct that you've seen our other 'Welsh 'Wizard' - Nyatanga play International football ?

Both have played 30 odd times for Wales - Can't make my mind up which one is/was the most useless.

To mention either of these 2 in the same breath as Shaun Taylor is beyond credibility.

    Just my opinion.

my opinion on mcmanus was he wasnt hear long enough to be fairly judge, but what we seen, he was the best defender we had the club, which is quite sad

The first time we have had an effective central defender in the team for nearly a decade.
Yes, if we could have seen him alongside the Burnley player it would have presented a strong front.

However, as they trained together at least our management and probably some of our directors would have seen what we need to spend our money on, so in that sense the standard has been set.

I for one would be damned happy to see McManus in a red shirt permanently (and I dont mean Boro').

    Its all relative Redprintt

Would you mention Taylor in the same breath as Norman Hunter, Collier, or even David Rodgers
As they are now history it hardly means anything
