Totally. I expect he's learning a he'll of a lot from Scott Parker too. Livermores progression is fantastic. Some of the other players around his age could learn from him... Like... How to sort their attitudes out, perhaps?

    Have to agree.
We started the season with Parker, Sandro and Thud as our first DM's and Jake has certainly taken his chance. Will we have room for all four next season even with Europe? especially as we ideally only want one on the pitch at any one time.

  3. Yes Lenny - I agree.
I still think that Sandro will prove to be good player for us, although I don't think he is anywhere near last years quality. Not sure if that is the after effects of the injury or whether it's the general lack of game time. But whatever the reason, he is looking less motivated and certainly less influential.

I think that Sandro's looked less effective because he's been repeatedly picked alongside Parker.
They don't complement each other at all.

  5. Whereas Livermore and Parker seem to gel.....
On that basis you might wonder whether Sandro may move on if Hudd does come back eventually

Livermore's more versatile and a better passer of the ball.
Sandro's a better holding player though, in my opinion.

Parker looks pretty tired and Sandro should've been used more often in his place.
He's not being given an opportunity to get back to full match fitness, while Parker is burning out.

Goes back to the, much discussed,Harry and tactics debate. I would certainly question why he felt two holding midfield players were necessary against Bolton - at home!

Livermore has good feet and creates space for himself, to recieve the ball and to get out of tight situations....a lovely talent to have, few get it, its looking like he's one to me.

I can't see that happening at all - he compliments Modric when they play together, and the way he can spend a whole game blocking and intercepting in midfield is vital. He's probably the biggest victim of 'Arry failing to adequately rotate the squad this season.

  11. He also doesn't seem to suffer with 'red mist' syndrome so I think is unlikely to pick up too many red cards etc.

PNP - you are right of course that Sandro is more of an outright DM than Livermore, but they are currently in direct competition for that position assuming that Parker remains the No 1 - and despite his apparent current tiredness, there aren't too many games that I wouldn't want Parker in!! Just wish he could score a goal...... Mind you, that goes for Modders as well.

  12. As per my previous posts HBIC, that is certainly not what I want to see - just worried that he may get displaced

As it appears that we're playing with two holding midfielders a lot at the moment, I think that there should be plenty of game time for Parker, Sandro and Livermore, Relayer.
I doubt that we'll rotate, though.

Have a look at his record of those!

Of the yellow type, one in 10 games this season and 1 in 8 for his career, where he plays that is quite exceptional for a young lad, good spot, he impress's the more you look.

Sandro is not the next Socrates (not saying JL is before some loon assumes that!) imo from what I've seen so far, and a bit too injury prone for my liking, if one had to go...I'd keep Livermore, he looks like he could be a one club for life Spurs player, Sandro will go for money eventually anyway, and he's a card magnet in comparison to Jake picking up twice as many.

Great game and brilliant that there was only 1 booking in the whole game. And that guy went off 5 seconds after his booking! Hope Prattley is ok and his injury not too serious.

Great win for Spurs, just need that killer instinct that Defoe only seems to have!
Bring on Chelsea! Just hope it doesn't go into extra time, as I have my train booked for 6.50pm on the 15th!

Anyway, team spirit seems restored, been a while since we saw those faces after the final whistle. Onwards and upwards, its a good time to play Swansea, last game was a home defeat, and Caulker can't play.

cracking performance...just got back from the match...i thought it was going to be one of them matches where it was there if we wanted it but was looking like we were not willing to strangle them...but we tried.
Parker,VDV,Ade and Modric had clear cut chances....think we should have tonked them good and proper!!

Bale,Modric were lively as was Walker who i thought had a stormer.
Parker and Livermore were solid as were the centrebacks apart from the one lapse which led to their goal.
I was glad to see Ade come off and Defoe and Saha to add some direct play upfront...all through the match it was a case of just get one and we can get a bagful...we waited till the last 15 before Nelson scored his much deserved goal for us..he plays steady for us.

i didnt understand the people who were walking off in the 90th minute and missed 50% of the goals including a cracker from Saha

    COYS...bring on Fulham's junior club.

This is why I don't understand the attitude of some, when they say they'd move him on. He's a pain in the arse.

Yes, he's bloody greedy and incredibly frustrating at times, but you're right, he's got a killer instinct. if we were to sell him, we'd never replace his attributes with the money we'd get for him.

I agree we should keep him as an impact sub, but he really isn't a top class striker. His goals ratio is about on par with Adebayor's and he influences the game much less. He also rarely performs against the top teams. To justify a starting place he would need to score about twice as many goals.

I'm not sure he is greedy exactly, he just doesn't seem to have any awareness about what other players are doing. He managed to spot Bale in an acre of space yesterday for the second goal but this is the exception - there were several occasions after that when he had fantastic passing opportunities and didn't see them. The reactions of our players said it all really.
