I don't mind most of the time Inda, but shooting when you're virtually level with the post is a bit silly.
I think he's just desperate to score at the moment, which can't help.

He broke their resistance though, in my opinion.
Improved our shape, severely damaged theirs and broke us out of a bit of a malaise.

I have said all along that I would prefer Saha up front to Ade. Somebody on Twitter said that he's not doing enough to earn a contract and I agree. As for the win well it's not bad considering our recent results and Bolton have been a tough nut to crack in the cup in recent years.
We've gone from a three goal defeat to a two goal defeat to a one goal defeat and then a draw and then a draw against a top name and now a win. All we have to do now is win our next league match and third is certainly on for us. I think we should play Saha instead of Ade for the rest of the season.

The first was a Nelsen header at the far post from a corner, believe it or not.
The second was on the break, with Defoe putting Bale through, who cut back and drilled it in.
The third was an excellent, powerful, curling finish from Saha, who was given too much space on the corner of the box, took a touch or two and smashed it past Bogdan, who didn't even bother to dive.
He'd have got nowhere near it.

    Saha for Adebayor?
    Hell no.
Adebayor had another good game tonight, he just ended up doing other people's work for them, as they refused to play their own positions.

I heard he was lazy today PNP. I was watching Benfica and all credit to Chelsea. Lucky to get away with an arm in the box though.

It really makes sense that it was the last man on the squad you'd expect it to come from who scored first. He was the player under the least pressure. The trajectory really has been a steady curve down, and an equally smooth one up. The nadir was Arsenal, where Spurs were thoroughly outworked for the entire game. Lately they've been playing well and hard, but have been feeling the pressure in terms of scoring. I continue to be an Ade fan. He creates at least a couple of excellent chances a game, even if his scoring touch has deserted him (along with the rest of the team).

  13. Thought of starting a thread on this (again) lol - but.....

Just how good a player is Jake Livermore becoming?

Showed some box-to-box talents this evening on top of his general work rate etc. Yes, I know it was Bolton who created f-all but I personally think he is close to claiming a regular first team start.

Good player with a great attitude - and Spurs through and through.

I think Ade's been very good the last couple of games doing all the things we know he's capable of (including not scoring) but also seems to be more willing to try to beat his man recently.

Defoe did make a massive difference when he came on. But I don't think this means he should start for us. I think it shows what a great impact player he is for us - all teams need someone like that and he shouldn't see it as a problem if he's not in the starting eleven. Defoe as plan A has not worked very well this season, Defoe as plan B has been very effective.

I was unsure about the wisdom of us selling O Hara in the summer as I thought he was perfect back-up for central midfield. But Livermore has shown exactly why that happened. For me he looks a better player than Sandro now and Sandro looked like he was going to be a beast this time last year. And offers some proof that Harry can bring through young players - if they're good enough.

redwhite,Saha has banged in 3 or 4 since he arrived which isn't bad. Our recent games have steadily narrowed the margins of defeat until the draws and now the win which should now reset the winning momentum again. I'd rather that be with Saha than Ade.

He's as useless and unhelpful as a GAME employee - apart from the fact that, as of today, he's in paid employment...
