As a parent, that was hard to read. So very sad.
I admire Billy as a person, glad he's on the bus with us.

And he's so keen, he even stumbled over his facts amidst his enthusiasm: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17512100

But Sharp told BBC Radio Solent: "We want to win the league. We won it last year and hopefully we can do it again."

Shows that no one remembers anyway who goes up as winners or runners-up. Certainly know that most casual fans will remember Norwich's impact on the Premiership above QPR's!

Not soft Beddy; human. I was in bits when I read the original article in the Gaurdian. It was the detail added to an already tragic tale that got me.

Yes, I read the original Guardian piece. This sort of thing was always sad, but I think it's when you have had children of your own that it really gets to you.

I was out on a stag doo (in Hereford of all places) and read the article between looking at the results coming in on my smart phone. As a soon to be parent, I found it very emotional I must say, but managed to hold it together for the sake of the group! Very glad he's properly off the mark, and should be going to the Palace game, really looking forward to that, and seeing all our 'stars' in the flesh.

Mid July! Just managed to sort out a decent house to rent up the road, so not too stressful a move in a couple of weeks, and friends in the same street. Have you found out the sex? we did, boy

Will find out on Friday. I really don't care at all (provided it's a boy!) but could do well without all the moving house malarkey, especially as it means renting my place out again. Funny how somewhere you have lived for years all of a sudden becomes completely unacceptable when a wee one is on the horizon.

Good Luck and congratulations to Hot Bovril and De Riddler and can I just say that if we see very much of you after July/August then you are both going to be in deep trouble with your other halves. Oh, and Do get some sleep whilst you still can! <laugh>

Cheers CF, think I'm gonna be more busy work wise anyway through the summer, though I'll no doubt be looking for the transfer (but not too many) gossip. I'm holding on to the rare stories of new borns who sleep really well!!

My son was a good sleeper. Used to wake him at about 10.30, feed and change him, and he would sleep through till 5.00. Didn't take long before he was sleeping even longer.

Good luck to all those of you awaiting births. Kids are just brilliant. I've got 3 and losing count of grandchildren. But I've been where Billy Sharp has been. It's a a dark place and I admire his incredible resolve. I await the news that he and his missus have had a healthy baby and he can look forward. Great bloke.

Thanks for the kind words. I am and always was a borderline insomniac, so if my genes pass on this trait, at least I'll not lose much sleep!
