"We also gave the world Brian Johnson from AC/DC, Dire Straits, Maximo Park to name but a few"

I've just had a quick check regarding the facts regarding this statement, and for the record Dire Straits were from Glasgow and Durham and the members of Maximo Park came from as far afield as Derby, Wigan and Billingham! So unless these areas have recently became suburbs of your huge metropolis, you are once again talking bollocks...

nit picker, maybe not Dire Straits themselves but the driving force behind them can trace his origins to Newcastle, i can't find anything to suggest they formed in Newcastle tho
Knopfler was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to an English mother and a Hungarian father, an architect whose anti-fascist sympathies forced him to flee the regime of his native Hungary.[7] The family first moved to Scotland, but then settled in Knopfler's mother's home town of Blyth, in the north-east of England, when he was around 7 years old.
The members of Maximo Park, i grant you, were not born in Newcastle, however, they all met while living and studying at Newcastle University

So basically you are saying you are right MrRAWhite because I was talking utter ****e!
I have met a lot of hardboiled eggs in my time, but you're twenty minutes.ââ¬Â

no i'm saying both bands are linked to Newcastle, what you won't admit is that they are widely known, and have been for a number of years, as Newcastle bands
i see you coming back at me with lots of names of well known Sunderland bands
i'll start you off, the Futureheads
I'm sorry, but they are not known as Newcastle bands, apart from by people such as yourself who will try and claim anything to boost its profile.
It's like me saying that The Princess Royal is from Sunderland because she opened The Bridges!
A chicken and an egg lying in bed. The egg lights up a cigarette.
That answers that question.
It certainly does not.How dare you.Everbody knows,of the two only the chicken could possibly light up a cigarette.Unless of course the egg had hatched previously and then it would be a chicken.Maybe you would ask Knobby ?

I believe it's fully capable of smoking... though the gloves might make it difficult.
Well, if you think about it logically, the chicken really was actually an egg. They are one and the same, which renders this argument totally useless.
