if my Maths is correct today's draw between Cardiff and B'ham has guaranteed Saints at least a top 6 finish. Unbelievable to achieve that before the end of March!
Technically, Hull has a game and hand and thus could still top us. In reality, because many of the teams chasing play each other, we actually clinched the top six before today.
Your maths is wrong I'm afraid - Blackpool and Cardiff both have 7 games left, if they win all of them they'll amass 21 points and end up with 81 points in total - 3 more than we have now. The lowest we could now finish is 10th... Well, 9th if you're bearing GD in mind.
Even excluding GD, we could still finish 10th. Leicester, who unlike Leeds have a game in hand, could still finish clear of us. Although it may well turn out that for Leicester to finish above us, someone like Cardiff or Blackpool would in turn be unable to finish above us. I haven't checked Leicester's fixtures (to see who they'd have to beat each week) to actually work it out though.
What your saying now is complete tosh, anything other than automatic promotion is a travesty! I think most of us will be saddened if we don't win the league now, we deserve it, we are the best team in the league!
