Amazingly any team from Burnley in 16th upwards still has a chance of making the play offs. Assuming one of the four sides will be West Ham or Reading who do we predict he other three will be? Looking at the remaining fixtures I'll go for Leeds, Brighton and Birmingham. What do the rest of you think?
Thought it might be Hull but they've fallen away lately. Leeds and Brighton definately, but have to think about third.
I would be very pleased if Brighton or Leeds won the play offs. That is unless we fall apart and have to play in them!
I'll say Birmingham, Cardiff and Hull for 4th, 5th and 6th. Think Brighton will crumble against a difficult schedule, and Middlesbrough is dropping points with abandon right now.
Another draw in Championship today...seems to be happening a lot in important games (except when super Saints are playing).
well its us and reading going up . THERE, I SAID IT, WE ARE GOING UP. should be a really good dog fight for the other spot. despite mr grumpy, i would love Brighton to go up, would hate them to be in the same **** as we had with paying for a new stadium and being strapped for cash
I don't want Brighton to go up, because IF we go up, it will take some of the gloss off our two successive promotions.
Mmm, good point. Unlike a couple of others, I have nothing against Brighton & HA, but they do attract the media attention, I think partly because a lot of media individuals seem to regard them as their club, so the biased word gets around, and because of their charismatic manager. Besides, I think it might be a little early for them. I know they have a bit of money, but their budget really isn't in the same category as Saints. Cortese might be prudent with the finances, and rightly so, but he can generate an awful lot of money for his disposal should he require it. Anyway, getting back to the point, no, I don't want Saints having to share the two-promotions-in-one-year limelight.
I don't want Brighton to go up, but if it comes down to a Brighton vs West Ham final, I would want them to win it.
I'd rather West Ham fall flat on their faces for all their arrogance and attempts to 'buy' the league by just bringing in endless numbers of players. At least Brighton only crowed because they did win something, they never expected to go up this season and didn't disrespect the competition like Gold and Sullivan did pre-season. Plus, with no Pompey around, Brighton can keep us occupied in the Premier League I guess, give us someone with some recent history who we have been rivalling. They'll never be proper rivals, but the last couple of years there's been some excitement between the two of us and some good games.
