I think the last 2 games have been a massive improvement as regards performance. The first half of the Liverpool game we played well and I thought last night against Spurs at times we played really well, we knocked the ball around well and looked very quick on the counter attack. Credit where credit is due for Pulis and I hope this form continues, I was just wondering if anyone has any inside information about Kenwyn Jones and Pennant?, as I know someone who works at Stoke and he says that Kenwyn will definately be going for £5 million and Pennant is a certain to go too.

On another note has anyone been watching any Bolton games and seen that winger called Ryo (or something like that) he is japanese (I think) and is absolute class!!, I hope pulis goes in for him but IMO he will be going a bigger club.

I hope this form continues against Man city and who knows what can happen!!

UTPssssssssssssss

Great post Ric..
Massive improvement and I thought we played really well last night, first half especially. If you read the Spurs board we we're **** but what the hell do they know?
I would not have put Delap on in hindsight cos we then sat back too deep. BUT, for once I will say well done T.P. you surprised me with the team selection and at least we did " Have a go at Spurs" First 20mins we we're really good and could maybe had scored at least one goal if not more. Jerome for me should be played every week from now on in.. SEVEN goals from how many appearences? GIVE the lad a chance/run of games T.P. who knows, maybe we can after all finish in the top half.

I honestly fancy us v Citeh we usually play well v the better teams at home, let's hope this Sat is no different... T.P. PICK the right 11 and we CAN do it!

I agree mate, im feeling quietly confident about saturdays game v citeh.

29 games played, 28 goals scored. Goals win matches, something that TP completely ignores and which is why we have a guy with 7 goals usually confined to the bench. I was at Liverpool and we did play well in the first half, but actually did not have a direct shot on target other than Crouch's goal. Same at Tottenham - 2 shots on target. All the posters are correct though. in that the ball was at least passed from Stoke player to Stoke player for a change.
As far as I am concerned TP has completely shot his bolt with me, and this year has been the most unexciting, tedious and dour season that I have had the misfortune to witness.
In the Sentinel (if it is to be believed) it appears that Rory is favourite for a recall, so do not be suprised if Walters is played wide left, at least CJ gets a start, and Gareth Bale plays wide right.
I am quite sad because after 14 years of holding a season ticket, I will not renew - TP has completely killed my enthusiasm for turning up to watch a team where I have seen great moments (Man U league cup and FA Cup victories in the same season) and dreadful performances Wigan 4-0 under Alan Ball, Shrewsbury 2-0 (when Tony Ellis collapsed under a phantom headbut) - now, a visit to the Dentist is about as equally appealing.
God knows what is in store next year - Jones out, Pennant out, Palacios out no doubt!
I'll be there tomorrow and cheer the lads on until the end of the season, but after that I'll find something worthwhile to spend the money on.

Europe as great as it was this year has badly affected us, Tone suddenly thinks he's a European coach has has implemented a squad rotation system!! FOr me the best thing that could happen is get back to concentrating on the Prem, good run in the cups and use the same 13-15 players. I honestly don't think we're far off being a solid top 8 side, we need some pace at left and right back, a string puller in midfield and an out and out goal scorer...... oh ok, maybe we are a little off!!

Have a look here for some decent footy streams watched the Stoke Spurs game on it - great quality, lets hope it stays www.eplstream.net

Its not that we are far off, its that we have been missing the same final pieces to our team for the last 3 years!

Your wasting your money Swervey - spend it on something constructive like George Best!
