that even in the worst case scenario we lose tomorrow, and West Ham win both tomorrow and Tuesday, we will still be top of the league. Incredible!
 
Yeah...But lets not think about these things! <laugh> <ok>

On a brighter note if we win tomorrow and west ham lose tomorrow and tuesday, we will be 10 points clear! Much better!
 
Burnley away will be tricky for them, as will Blackpool for Reading. On paper, we have the easiest game, but no games are easy in the Championship. I think at least one of Reading and West Ham will drop points tomorrow.
 
we dont have to win every game. we just have to do better than at least one of either reading or WHU. We are in a good position, but need to take evry game as they come.
 
Kind of envious of Swindon this week-end, the JPT Paint Pot may not be major but it was still a fun day out! Good luck to them.
 
It's all ifs but it's exciting, if we can win 3 out of the next 4 we could be a position to seal promotion against Reading. COYR

Let's rephrase your warning... There is no room for complacency, so let's not start celebrating.

BTW, how much more momentum do you want the Lads to build..? Saints have 16 points in their last six league games, 2 dropped against Ipswich only. Reading have 15, dropping 3 points, and West Ham have 8 points from their last six matches, with 10 points dropped. Saints are also unbeaten in 11 matches. I'd say we were doing reasonably well with our momentum. ;)

And that's a very good thing to do, but let's not overplay the caution and gloom, eh..? The other teams are perfectly capable of cracking, every bit as much as Saints could. Or am I once again sensing illogical historic Saints fan anxiety..?

Once upon a time, your over-caution [in my opinion] would be entirely appropriate. I know. I was there as well. If I wasn't built from the same historic stuff I'd be saying the Championship is in the bag, provided we keep on doing what we're doing, and being rightfully confident about Saints doing so. But I'm not. I'm a historic and anxious Saints fan of old, but I realise it's that very history which is keeping me all pent up and anxious. And so every time it creeps up on me, I force myself to look at the facts of the past couple of seasons, and the trend that those facts produce. And I dare myself to think that it may be possible, because actually it is entirely possible we're going to win this one. There, I said it.

I have a feeling that the 13th April is going to be a very poignant day for SFC as it is probably the day that news of the Titanic's sinking filtered through to the British public 100 years ago. In other words the 100th anniversary! But this one will be a rising onward and upward. Just feel it in my bones. :laugh:
 
One game at a time. Live in the now. Don't get too high if we win, too low if we lose. Stay focused.

There you go. I've now successfully blotted out all games except the one against Doncaster. I'll leave it anyone else who wants to worry, to do so. ;)
 
I think, and that is a bonus, that we have already won. Not the league, not the promotion, nor even the play-offs. But Saints have won because we are a great team with great owners, manager, players and the greatest supporters. There will always be ups-and-downs but with this bedrock the future is orange, no I mean Red&white
 
I head to the game today with great positivity about the league table. There will be plenty of time to feel as anxious as I did on the hour mark against Millwall in the future I'm sure ;)
