Massive night for us and the teams directly below us, I am feeling a little nervous but have a plan!!!!

£10 on Chelsea and Arsenal both to win tonight is around 9/1, so, if they do both win it will soften the blow with nearly £100 coming my way, however, I very rarely win a bet so them both to win is unlikely if I have money on it.

Money well spent I say.

exactly what my old man does and has done for years. It's like an insurance policy; either way you're happy! he got 40/1 on reading to win the league at the start of the season. - that bet's not looking too bad now, eh?

That's great odd's hope he had a few quid on it Roo.

Insurance policy - I like it, perhaps I should rename the thread.

Massive night indeed. 3 Teams chasing the last 2 'musical chairs'.

Who's gonna end up arse over tit on the ground when the music stops? :emoticon-0107-sweat

COYS!!!

Neither AFC nor the Chavs have an easy game tonight.

I'm not saying we do, especially following so quickly after the Bolton cup match, but this is a fantastic chance for us to possibly capitalise on the failings of at least one of our main rivals.

Erm, can you rephrase this. Who's gonna end up arse over tit..come on you spurs????

I think he put a £10er on it. like I say, he's done it for years. He's a massive Swindon Fan. - each week he puts a small bet on for the opposition to win. That way, if Swindon win, he's happy. If they don't he's won some cash!

unfortunately it's meant that he's down a few quid this season! better hope that reading bet comes in! <laugh>

I sincerely hope City win tonight. (don't think I've said that all season). it's a huge night.

Arsenal away to everton could also work nicely in our favour. But with the form the Gooners are in, it's unlikely I think.

Let's just see if Chelsea do a Sunderland and settle back after the "Impress the new boss" matches. Everton could easily put one over on Arsenal tonight but as for City well they've trembled a bit just recently so I don't know about that one. All I care about is that we get back to winning ways with a solid win tonight.

I have to agree, as long as we win, I dont really care how either.

What a daft thing to say...do you honestly believe that we go there as favourites?

If we win it will be against the odds against a team that has buried most others this year, including a double over you I seem to remember, and at a very lively stadium.

All others SW6, they havent dropped a point there all season. I agree youll do well to get anything there tonight.

SW6,there's nothing daft about what I posted there. If you lose and it's an if seeing as City haven't played that well just recently well it could spark a losing spree for you. Your form under AVB wasn't good and a defeat just might bring it back again,it happens. So balls to your opinion that it's a daft thing to post,no it's not. So what does the fact that they did the double over us have to do with you losing there....if you do?

You basically said that all of our performances were related to the effect of our new interim managers arrival, and that effect could potentially wear off tonight as we may well have lost the desire to impress him.

Napoli aside, we haven't had a proper test yet in the league with tonight and Saturday as RDM's first real challenges as a top flight manager against "decent" opposition.

City haven't dropped a point there all season, have an incredible goal tally, and anyone that goes there is the underdog, new manager or not.

Hence why it's daft.

My example of their double against you was to reinforce the impact of how well they've been playing and how tough it will be tonight, as I've heard a fair few of you guys saying how you play the best football this season and we are on the way out...maybe I misheard that.

Good luck with getting the mods role btw...ffs<laugh>

SW6 - he is saying that a defeat tonight could lead to a new bad run after an improvement due to their being a new manager - and a kick up the arse from RA. Not an unreasonable discussion point. Tonight's result can only disprove it, defeat wont prove it, but it is a fair question.

And by the way, we gave them a very tough match at their place and were about 2 inches away from winning it.

I said I wouldn't be able to do the mods role so I'm not even thinking about it,can't you read? AND IF YOU CARE TO READ MY POST PROPERLY IT READS THAT IT DOES NOT PARTICULARLY MEAN THE MATCH TONIGHT. I POSTED IF YOU LOSE. Also often teams do better in different competitions, like some do well in cups then struggle the same season in the league. FFS.
