Morning all from a dullish/brightish morning in bandit country. I decided it was not wise to drive to West West London this morning...so just dropping off Little Miss W_Y at the station later as she is going back for a couple of weeks before her big final move back toThe Shire takes place. I estimate at least 2 journeys will be required!

Morning all

I hope no-one will get up to anything naughty in the Nest today...it attracts the wrong sort of visitors

Very grey here this morning so a bit of cooking this morning (a chilli for this evening's game!) before driving mrs H to the physio.

Afternoon all. Its a beautiful day here. The sun is out and the heat is up. However, i am not able to enjoy it. I have washing to do assignments to write and bins to empty. Oh well. No rest for the wicked. TTFN

Spring has sprung as we have reached the Equinox

Planted out some potatoes to celebrate - don't tell Barry but some claimed to be Jersey Royals - in Wales :)

mmmmmmmmmmm - You cannot beat Jersey Royals, a few of them with some Spring Lamb and Spring Greens - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

God thats making me hungry!! I have a nice sirloin in the fridge for tonight along with some herbs to paste and cook it in. I shall grill it and maybe do it with some mash potato. But i cant think what else. I should have 3 things on the plate so i need one more. Any ideas?

Fry some chestnut mushrooms with garlic, butter, and parsley or braise some celeriac brushed with olive oil and a little lemon juice. You could also add a bit of carrot and swede to the mashed potato for extra colour and flavour.

I will pass on the mushrooms ta. I really cannot stomach them. However the carrot in the mash sounds like a plan. I will have a think.

Pie has had a conditional offer through from one of the two possible schools for him to go to for A-levels - out of the two, it's the fee-paying one. He wants to do Aeronautical Engineering at Uni (it's also called something else at some Unis but I can't remember what) and to be able to do the A-levels he needs, he has to get A* for Maths, A for both Physics and Chemistry and B for ICT. Although he hasn't mentioned it, I guess he'll need to get a C in English Language.

Hope Pie gets what he needs. Good luck to him

The Royals we have are seed potatoes so that we can enjoy them as freshly dug new ones in about two to three months time

Blimey Barry,. good luck to Pie, seems like a bright kid, i'm sure he'll be fine with all the necessary hard work :)

Great night tonight..well done the Golden Boys :)...and thanks for my morning caramel latte Ak!
