I see Mr Crooks has put Jonas in his team of the week. A constant thorn in our side he remarks. To be honest I though our outfield MOTM Bennet gave him the run around all afternoon.

I'm hoping that the game against newcastle is the game that has made Elliot Bennett cos he certainly played very well! I do like it when him and pilks start together but they have to start wide cos they just don't do it in the diamond!

To be fair to Crooks, Gutierrez did have a stormer. Not in defence- he's not a full back after all and Bennett certainly got round him several times, but in attack everything came from Gutierrez on the left-hand side. Any problems he had in defence were pretty rapidly snuffed out by Coloccini anyway. I know there's more to the game as a left back than just attacking, but in the circumstances Gutierrez was a nightmare and should probably have had three assists to his name but for some wasteful finishing/great saves

Am I the only one who thinks Coliccini was very very fortunate to get away with the shoulder right between the two 1's on Surman's back?

Sorry Rob, I can't be FAIR to Garth Crooks, I dislike that man so much it's not true.
If it was possible, I would bend him over as much as I could and shove his head up his arse, that way he could actually see the **** that he's speaking, because that's surely where most of it comes from.......out of his arse.

For me Whitbread was our best outfield player, he was absolutely superb and almost, almost did enough to stop the goal - but for Cisse's bloody shin <steam>
Made some fantastic tackles and blocks, was brilliant in the air, passed nicely and was so unlucky not to score the equaliser - but for Krul's bloody fingertips <steam>
Further confirms him as my nominee for the Barry Butler this year <ok>

zak was a tad lucky to get away without conceding a penalty! mind you, he did play well apart from that. also felt we should have had a penalty for a blatant body check in the area so i suppose it evened up during the game
