gordon onuoha turner bramble bardo henderson catts zenden ricco wellbeck gyan this is the team that beat chealsea 3-0, so where is it going wrong considering we are now supposed to have better players? i give you, mensah is not better than turner muntari is no fooking way better than zenden, send him back and sess v ricco both decent on a day but we know what ricco can do, and sess has done nowt yet to impress. granted wellbeck just back from injury
Zenden is normally useless and Sessegnon hasnt been given a chance, i know he hasnt scored but he seems to be our only midfielder who looks like scoring. He obviously will not be match fit and up to the physicallity off the English league, he needs a proper pre season behind him, the teams who we have played during that period are all top teams + Stoke away. IMO Burce has his tactics all wrong with the lad and he needs one position to be his, he hasnt had that. Muntari also needs to play a run of games to establish himself considering he also hadnt played in a while so obviously he will be rusty. Its not a quick term thing, we are trying to get better but what the new lads dont need is fans on there back expecting them to be world beaters straight away orelse they will cower from the challenge and we dont want that. People keep going back to one game through the season and expecting us too play like that every game. The new lads have been chucked in at the deep end with a makeshift assembled back 4 and midfield. They havent ever played with these sets of players so i dont know what people are expecting. Turner is our best CB and he and bramble were formidible and its ashame his injury has had to happen to show that too the fans who wanted him gone for his long ball clearances.
Head above the parapet time. I thought that Muntari was having a great game til he went off on Sunday.
I'll stand next to you mate with my head side by side with yours. Not a lot wrong with him and will get even better IMO
Are you serious? We were dominating the midfield in the first 20 minutes his link-up play was excellent, the sort of creativity we've been lacking and the kind of play that will win games. He's getting better all of the time. I'm not sure that view is shared at all, he has been very impressive and shows terrific promise It takes a bit of time for new player to gel in a team
Thought that sess did ok, had a lot of the ball. Brucie forgot to book the taxis for the rest to get them upfield! Most times he had nowhere to go and no-one to give the ball.
